Made this table runner from fabric that I had on hand for the Fourth of July.
The base is linen, and all the circles are cotton.
The circles were first sewn in place using a singular machine-sewn line in red thread. Then I hand-embroidered each one in place so the table runner can be washed.
There is a very thin cotton batting in the middle of the table runner.

This is the first toy drop we did as part of The Toy Society. The point is to make a handmade toy for someone to find and take home. The maker expects nothing in return. It's just for the sake of doing something positive in the world.

When: Monday, January 16, 2012 - Martin Luther King Day
Other Comments: My daughters (Sophia and Olivia) and I were so excited to put the little teddy bear in one of carts for children to use.
We hope it will brighten a child's day and perhaps make a parent's trip around the store a little bit easier since it was about 4:15 p.m. when we dropped it off.
We checked back at 4:45 p.m. when we left the store, but the cart had not yet been taken. Perhaps it will be found tonight...maybe in the morning.
We hope the child who finds it enjoys naming the bear and taking it on journeys with her/him.
I need to add beads to the roof and tree, add the chimney, finish the door and snowman. I love this house I drew all of it by myself I think cause Dan was too busy( that is why the windows are two different sizes..lol)
A happy accident of three creative urges: one, to see the impact a mustard-colored thread makes on gray linen; two, the desire to recreate a Victorian boot image; and three, a wish to capture that last beautiful tulip from the bunch I received last week before the petals fall away.
R is for Resonant.
The Embroidered Alphabet by Jeni Little.
The resonant rabble roused the romantic rabbits with a rakish rebel ragtime!
I made this! For more information, please see my profile.
I'm not sure about the crocheted crown thingy on this bunny... I'll be making more suitable headgear instead...
Does her face look familiar? This used to be Paige - I gave her a new look. I think the copper hair suits her eye colour better.
WIP towel for the 4th of July. We have a couple parties to go to and when I saw these patterns from Wild Olive I just had to get them. I used a water soluble pen to trace the patterns and didn't erase it ( the blue marks around the patterns.)
Cute penny square. I am not sure exactly what I am going to use this for yet. Maybe a nursery wall hanging or a child's redwork quilt. Sky's the limit!

Apart from admiring the snowdrops I always enjoy looking at the superb Ecclesiastical embroideries on display
The cakes are pretty awesome too.
These napkins are finally done. Too bad I missed the 2008 holiday season. I just pressed all 24 of these napkins. 16 are done in red and 8 in green. They are 20 x 20 cotton napkins and werereally easy to stitch on they just took a long time. It was quite windy today so the pictures are the best I could get, the light was great just was hard to take them.
two bookmarks I made for the "Flower of the Month" swap on Swap-Bot. I chose narcissuses and African violets as the focus. These bookmarks are made from wool felt and hand embroidered using the blanket stitch. The green ribbon is the marker for the book.
I've finished the embroidery for this quilt, and plan to have a friend do the machine quilting for it. I made this design especially for my son, with the stars placed as they were in the night sky the night he was born. The moon is also in the phase it was the night he was born.
In the exhibition „Seemannsgarn“ Eliot will show new, hand-embroidered works, a combination of embroidery and styles, as well as his most recent prints, which relate to his appearance as a graffiti and comic artist. The artist draws article of daily use from his graffiti past like markers, paint rollers or spray cans and adds his embroidered pixels raster.
I love my own needlecase, made when I was 10. DId this bit of embroidery on linen years ago and could never decide what to do with it. Yesterday turned it into a needle case
