Old hand painted showcard from York Pa. These were on display in the 50s and 60s on buses and trolley cars.
I was asked to do a positive affirmation or mantra for a new magazine coming out - Underground Art School (In case anyone starts wondering why I sound like a self-help book...)
I used the ink to write my quote and then i added it the front of a picture that relates to my quote. Artist embrace imperfection because if they mess up they could possibly have made a new art. You embrace imperfection with a positive attitude. Like an ugly person. They are ugly but they still smile at the end of the day because they are probably rich.

This sign is from the1950s and is hand lettered on both sides. I bought it frm an old sign painter who is in his fifties. He got it from the man who taught him how to hand letter signs, It was the sign that used to hang in his shop when he was alive and painting signs.

I think these deep sea scuba diver helmet/hats are totally rad. When I was younger I used to draw these helmets and ninja turtles all the time, sometimes I even drew ninja turtles with these helmets on, does it get any better? Iām thinking not.
