He would have been golden if he hadnt had such a sudden dunking by his furious mother! Taken at Donna Nook.

*****((( -: ! YEAH ! :-)))*****

I just discovered this made explore on 22nd April!!

WOW! - my first on Explore! x

I posted pictures of this cake a while back and got some wonderful feedback - I was tiding up my photo archive on the computer and found that i hadnt deleted all the photos as I had feared - so here it is as a reminder - followed by a close up and a picture of me at work!!!)

This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial 3.0 Unported License.

Photographed in awe at Big Cat Sanctuary. I hadnt realised the girls were so big, or badder than the boys when it comes to 'lecturing' the pride!!

Almost a White out. Well more like a Grey out. If it hadnt been for this familier hedgerow I could have been totally lost. BTW. This is a colour photograph.

"No! Definitely Not Stirred!" Oh James! Do behave yourself!!!

This is Moneypenny`s Lock on the Newry Canal, near Craigavon, Northern Ireland. A restored 18th century lock keepers house. Such a beautiful place and a wonderful bike ride!

If you look closely you can see a Buzzard circling overhead which was a surprise as I hadnt seen it, and I like the huge old Irish Yew [Taxus bacatta fastigiata]. on the right. They were first "discovered" growing in Co. Fermanagh in 1780 so the date fits fairy perfectly with the cottage. How amazing!

Hope you like it!!

Right, back to the "JB" box set!!!

Happy Weekend!!!

Just a record shot taken a few years ago of a young fox licking the dew of this small pony. Both acted like they knew 1 another no fear in either the pony was not ill it was just lying on the ground.I would not of believed it if I hadnt seen it with my own eyes. This is a silly far off crop i just thought people would love to see this . as I did !! The fox trotted away and the pony just watched on I saw these 2 actually face to face but that was a day I had no camera .Amazing animals can really teach us a thing or 2 about caring and accepting .

Please do not use my images in any way without my permission they are copyright protected !!

Please take A look in Large !! press L

Thanks to everyone that takes the time and makes the effort to comment and fave my pics its very much appreciated

After watching the series on fishing in Cornwall on the tv recently I knew I had photos from Mevagissey that I hadnt used :-)

SONY DSC

On a recent visit to Chester Zoo, I decided to take my Sony A100 instead of my Nikon D3200, when reviewing the card I came across the photos from a previous visit back in 2017 .. so you see I hadnt used this camera for many years !

On the recent visit ,i didnt see this jaguar but I had the opportunity of capturing the other one at feeding time , so there will be a photoor two of that coming soon ..

Photo taken from the slopes of Slieve Donard [849m] looking west to the walls and slopes of Comedagh with Cove mountain and Slievelamagan in the distance. I shouldnt have approached it this way as it wasnt safe really. It would have been better to follow the C track below [ well a backward C! ] and then turn left [east] along the wall. Ill know better next time. Not all info on climbing websites are to be trusted!

The Mourne walls criss cross the mountains and cover a distance of 22 miles and 15 mountains. It was constructed between 1904-22 in order to keep livestock away from the "Silent Valley" reservoir which is the main catchment area and serves Belfast. Its a work of art and really beautiful as its constructed from the natural granite of the area. The blocks are about 3ft long and 6 inches in section. They also run through the wall sticking out on each side here and there to form rough steps for crossing it.It takes 2 men to lift them.

There were 4 stone masons working on it on Thursday.

The certainly had immense pride in their work and are highly skilled and very friendly, proud and hardy men! I loved the natural quality of their conversation.Theres is a dying skill unfortunately but hopefully it will continue here.

I really cannot recommend this place highly enough and the close by town of Newcastle is a great seaside resort for relaxing holidays.

Hope you like it and heres Paul Brady. Im inclined to ramble a "wee" bit meself as if you hadnt noticed!!! Lol!

Best of everything to you!

- from the communist era, this in fact is a good thing, mamaia lake Siutghiol shore hadnt been restored for more than 50 years, the lake hosted 2007-2009 Class One World Powerboat Championship

I took this in the Craigie Bushland Reserve a couple of weeks ago but didnt post it as I hadnt identified the species. I noticed Jean and Fred (Local Flickr-ites) posted a similar species the other day so I thank them for the identification of this understated plant. They weren't common and easily overlooked.

On a visit to Chester awhile back but one I hadnt captured before ,so added to my collection of locomotives :-)

Sefton Park, Liverpool.

View On White

This was made with my first attempt to create a texture. It's quite basic made using watercolor paper and charcoal, scanned into the computer. Unfortunately I hadnt realised the paper was too large for the scanner so it was quite what I had wanted. The photo has had the usual treatment in photomatix and photoshop.

Light was dim so I stepped up to 2.8 which I hadnt really done before, really impressed with the quality on what was a really big crop too..

Well I bagged the shot I had in mind, even with the all the light pollution it back lights the tree beautifully at the time I hadnt seen on my LCD screen a Meteor streak. With part of the Geminid Constellation.

My usual walk after lunch. I hadnt spotted a dragonfly in ages, it was such a delight to see this one.

Oggi al lavoro, la solita passeggiata dopo il lavoro, era da tanto che non vedevo una libellula :)

Hadnt realised it was so long since I'd posted a Robin shot

If what happened on Easter hadnt happened .. Christmas would be just another Day

The incoming leg of the recent Great Britain XVI tour sees the Battle of Britain class Tangmere coming through Edge Hill Liverpool on Friday evening . One engine that until Friday I hadnt been able to capture .

i hadnt seen this chap for a while ,then all of a sudden out of nowhere.

An Eastern Short-eared Rock-wallaby (Petrogale wilkinsi) with some aboriginal rock art in Kakadu National Park. Patience really paid off with this photo, I had filled the camera card and had only one shot left. My back pack was 50m away with spares and I had removed all dodgy photos the night before. So I decided to sit and wait until the right opportunity arose.

In the 20 or so minutes that I stalked the wallaby I hadnt even noticed this rock art until the wallaby hopped up in front of it. I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome.

A huge fog rolled in while I was out the other morning so I too the opportunity to use my Cokin Tobacco filter that I hadnt used for a while. The blue is purely a result of a 9 sec exposure and the Cokin ND8. I have pretty much done nothing to it other that a slight rotate for the horizon, a minor (really minor) saturationm, and a sharpen. I must be getting in touch with my minimilist side!

A walk around Llynnau Mymbyr

I don't know if it was because i hadnt seen any decent light recently or because i really liked the rocks covered in Moss? But i spent a good 15min at this spot, admittedly 3 minutes of that was spent setting up the new tripod!

We had an amazing sunset yesterday!

This lasted for a good half hour around 4pm. Luckily i was already out with the camera but unfortunately i was on my way home from a good couple of hours out with the camera+drone. Both drone batteries were dead and the only option was to hop into a farmers field and grab a shot of a tree against the sky. I wish i hadnt left the location where i'd been taking photos previously and i had an inkling that the sunset was going to be great but thats just being a typical photographer, always moaning ;)

Got talking to a man and woman today who were bickering like man and wife. Turned out they were brother and sister. They were both from up the road in Blyth. He was 76 and didn't look anywhere near that, he hadnt been married, and his sister was 70. Interesting the people you meet when you're out and about. That fella could talk for England.

A nice enough record of the snow that came across our area today but dont bother enlarging the photo, its a still off a video I took and the quality is extremely poor. When I left my village heading into Melton to fetch my Daughter it hadnt even started Snowing, thankfully we didnt hang about after the HST as the road back became virtually impassable later on

For the record, the working was 1C43 1050 Leeds - London St Pancras at Melton Mowbray with 43310 leading and 43257 on the rear

I haven`t been able to get down to see the pier in its present state, but looking through the archives as you do, I found some images I`d taken earlier in 2013 I hadnt uploaded.

This is a very long exposure at 364 seconds to allow the sea to look as smooth as possible.

The Chamomile tea bags I recently purchased come individually wrapped. After a few days I noticed they had a message. I was bummed that I hadnt noticed the other messages, & immediately wanted to open every packet and read them all :)~

But decided to wait & see what each nights message would be.

One afternoon I was watching Opray Winfreys TV show 'Super Soul Sunday' , her guest was Brian Grazer, subject 'Curiosity'

That night my tea bag read...Be Curious.

I realised I hadnt been out shooting for a while and decided to head down to our small bay. Beautiful colours when the sun sank behind the hills. Panorama stitched from four photos.

The crew are looking directly at me and smiling when viewd large ,i hadnt noticed that till i blew picture up :-)

Eastham .

Happy 20204 folks, sorry for the photography silence, I just took a break sort of. Life got busy, and while I have a lot of images to sort out, I just hadnt felt like posting.

However, here is a shot taken during a visit to Margate today. I was trying to capture both the cloud pattern and the swirling sand.

Shot on Leica X, post processed in Apple Photos, and Pixelmator Pro.

I took this pic last month on my camping trip. I just love this lake. If we hadnt found ticks we would still be there!!!!

I cant tell you how long i have tried to wear this necklace by LaGyo_Zoe. i fell in love with the design but never quite found the right look for it. it kinda fits in the "perfect Bra or handbag category" that has you searching and finding many fab finds, but they don't work for most outfits till you find the treasure. While its not the multi fit kinda vibe, its way cool and i'm stoked i finally found a cool fit! Btw this Jacket ([JUSTICE] EMMA JACKET) i also hadnt remembered buying in a sale and it worked Just perfect too!

Sl Barbie winning the fight! maybe not the inventory battle.... seriously break out in hives trying to delete stuff.. anyone else?

NEXT! lol

Another cold wintery morning and I decided to visit Seaham. This time I went to Blast Beach as I hadnt visited for some time.Again it wasn't so much of a colourful sunrise, but it was certainly a dramatic one.

Went to Sicily for a wedding, and of course i couldnt help paying a vist to the nature reserve of Vendicari. A bit out of season i know, to see the real action i have to go back in December, but it wasnt all that bad... there were a few birds i hadnt seen before. like the Spoonbill and the Hoopoe.

The only thing is that they were so freaking far away, so i was on max zoom (with the extender as well) so some footage are a bit shakey because of that.

Tod always had such a wonderful spring in his step every time his Mother came to check on his wellbeing.

One of the very few occasions we had a glimpse of Blackpaws cub Tod.

When she eventually returned to the cliffs close to her original den we hadnt seen her for around six months but after a couple of close encounters with her she led us to a new place where would see her (presumably) only cub... We will always be very grateful to have been trusted enough to be allowed to follow her to a spot where she was keeping an aye on her young 😊

Captured on the Aberdeenshire Coastline after work in the Summertime of July last year.

Taken with my Nikon D5500 DSLR and with my Sigma 150-600C Contemporary lens including 1.4x Converter.

This is for Ian one of my contacts-he knows how much I want to see the snow and always asks me "Where's your Orchards full of Snow" so Ian here it is, the ground is covered in petals that make me think of snow.... :)

I am utterly devastated to have to share the news of my beautiful, most photographed boy's passing after an illness.

Azizi came into my life weighing just 49g and I threw myself into helping him gain weight as he wasnt eating and was full of mites. He was just a tiny bundle of quills but oh, SO friendly and so curious about everything. He was no trouble with his exotic vet. He took everything in his stride (which was just as well as he was hand fed for about 6 months). He was clearly a fighter. With a lot of love and care, he gained weight and as soon as I picked the little boy up, he would start to dribble in anticipation of being fed. He loved to be hand fed. Even in the last few years when I didnt have to do it, he would still come out of his hide to greet me and be hand fed a morio worm.

and how photogenic he was! He was without a doubt my most photographed tenrec and he loved to toddle up to my lens.

I am heartbroken. I found him last weekend with his mouth bleeding and the vets quickly found out he hadnt been bitten by Boo but he had broken both his front teeth. We werent able to stop the bleeding and whilst he was put back on hand feeds with a tiny syringe, he started to shut down and he passed away on friday. I keep thinking about what I could have done better to save him. It's horrendous.

Goodnight my tiny warrior. I'm so so sorry I couldnt save you this time. I'm going through hell working out what I could do to hold you in my hands once more. A tiny Tenrec that was so so loved. Rest in peace xxxxx

I hadn’t been on sl a couple days due to my current obsession with Fallout 4, so as soon as I logged in today and saw this cat mod I had to buy it!. *UPDATE: 8:40pm CST 1/25/22*

I am going to be updating all sizes + kupra tonight. I found some texture problems as well as some clipping I hadnt seen last night. I've finished Lara/Meshbody/Ebody, doing kupra now <3

*UPDATE 2: 7pm cst 1/26/22*

Finally finished updating the original bodies because of clipping on the the back. Currently finishing kupra and the rest of the colors are in world (not yet updated). If you purchased the originals, please drop me a note card with trans info and all that. I will make sure to send you the updates as I wrap up.

I am also aware of a texture issue, I’ve fixed that as well. I am sorry for the inconvenience!

I am heartbroken to have had to say goodbye last night, to one of Madge's children, sweet Bubba.

I discovered a problem whilst she was sleeping about 3 weeks ago (They are all in torpor), but whilst cleaning her vivarium, I realised there were headless morio bodies all over her vivarium suggesting she hadnt eaten properly for some time, I got her out, weighed her and she had lost a huge amount of weight.

The vet prescribed painkillers for what we thought was a problem with her teeth but she wouldn't eat. It was so so hard trying to get her to swallow the Emeraid I was giving her. It was like she had given up.

and last night she went to sleep for the last time in my hand.

She was my biggest girl, such a chunk. Loved her food. When she was a tiny baby, it was always Bubba clambering in the actual bowl, the idea of sharing food was anathema to her!

Such a shock to see her like that. RIP my sweet sweet girl.

well this morning i thought id try my hand at the old faithful, buttermere. id been a few times over the last few weeks but hadnt had any luck with the conditions. this morning didnt get off to a very good start with thick cloud so the light didnt show a face until a couple of hours after sunrise.

still worth hanging around for tho.
