Day 3 - Rachel is holding the air gun and trying to read the plans by Bob's foot. Margie is getting out some galvinized nails for the bottom plate. Donald doesn't seem to be happy having his picture taken. Tadd moves up to nail the top plate to the studs. Mo lines up the end stud while Melissa and Bill work on a different wall.

We walked up, saw the string of SUVs and then I saw the red one and was like, WAIT. JIMMY'S HERE! And yup, he was haha. The secret service guy teased us saying that he recognized us from the build. I was like, did you also do a background check on all of us, too? :P — at Bass Pro Shops at the Pyramid.

St Marys Catholic Church across the street from the hotel.
This was seen on my adventure from the hotel in search of food. I exited on the wrong side and found myself in between churches, bail bondsmen, a jail and deserted parking lots. After trying to make my way to a Starbucks that no longer existed (after trying to go to a wing place that was closed), I found a Subway Sandwich shop in a dingy gas station, quickly bought a sandwich and water and made my way back to the hotel. Clearly the wrong side of Memphis haha...
After building a home, we take time to stop and celebrate. The family, the sponsor, the staff and the volunteers have a chance to reflect on the experience in their own words and show their gratitude. We are building more than 30 homes in Metro Denver a year. Attend a dedication and see a family come home for the first time.
