Stair Hole is a small cove located just west of Lulworth Cove in Dorset, southern England. The folded limestone strata known as the Lulworth crumple are particularly visible at Stair Hole. There are several caves visible from the seaward side of Stair Hole; Cathedral Cavern is supported by pillars of rock rising out of the water. The rock structure was created during the Alpine orogeny and exposed by subsequent erosion.

"Have you ever noticed a small patch of clearing amidst a gray overcast? That's known as a "sucker hole."
The general origin of the term is that the tiny area of blue sky tricks some people to think that maybe the skies are going to clear up, only to duped when the hole disappears and the solid overcast returns -- as in Mother Nature going: "Sucker!"
Pilots can sometime report a "sucker hole" as a break in the overcast to fly through, only to have the hole close up before the plane gets there.”

For this week's Monday Macro theme of 'Holes' ... macro taken of some sequins used for wedding dresses.
On the top of this hill above the spectacular 15th hole at Lost Farm, sits a bunker. Well not quite a bunker, and certainly not a sand bunker. In reality it is a restaurant that services golfers and people staying at the on site accommodation provided at Barnbougle's Lost Farm.
Tomorrow I'll show you some of the spectacular views of the ocean and golf course from these large restaurant windows. You can get a perfect bird's eye view of action on the spectacular long par three of the 15th.
For those interested in golf and the beach, a stay here at Barnbougle is the perfect combination (we can vouch for it personally). I'll show you the beach in a couple of days time, and you will be amazed at how quiet and secluded it is, even though it stretches kilometres in each direction.
We have been missing out on the rain, so the ground was hard to dig in. After some time the hole was deep enough, and the eggs were buried. Critters dig them up, so have some wiring over them, hoping they make it. :)

Making donuts at home can be a delightful experience! Here's a basic recipe for classic fried donuts:
Essential Ingredients:
2 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast
1/4 cup warm water (110°F / 45°C)
3/4 cup lukewarm milk
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 large egg
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (plus extra for rolling)
Oil for frying (vegetable, canola, or peanut oil)
For Glaze:
2 cups powdered sugar
1/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions:
Activate the yeast: In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm water. Let it sit until frothy, about 5 minutes.
Make the dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine the yeast mixture, lukewarm milk, sugar, salt, butter, and egg. Gradually add the flour and mix until a dough forms.
Knead: Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic, about 5 minutes. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
Cut out donuts: Roll the dough out to about 1/2 inch thick. Use a donut cutter or two different-sized round cutters to cut out donuts and holes. Place them on a floured surface and let them rise again until doubled, about 30 minutes.
Fry: Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F (190°C). Fry donuts in batches, turning them once, until golden brown (1-2 minutes per side). Drain on paper towels.
Glaze: Mix the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Dip the warm donuts into the glaze and let them cool on a wire rack.
Enjoy your homemade donuts! 🍩
Holes is the theme for Macro Mondays February 11th.
Pouring holes in the seal of a cooking pot.
it`s less than 3 inch... I use always a stencil for measurement.
Took a bag made of loosely woven fabric. Each hole is 3mm in size. I layered the fabric to create depth.

Gas holder cylinders, these cylinders come in differing heights to echo the movement of the original gasholders, which would have risen up and down. A fourth cylindrical void will sit at their intersection, forming an open courtyard. The three structures are clad in dark steel, with brass and bronze elements and perforated shutters.
