“I've lived my life walking through a dream
For I knew that I would find this moment supreme
A night of bliss and tender sighs
And the smiling down of a thousand eyes
A night of bliss and tender sighs
And the smiling down of a thousand eyes
The Night has a Thousand Eyes !”

People were suntanning outside even though it's only mid-March. New buds growing along a wall decided to pop out of the ground. My own textures added.

Sky Bridge, lower Manhattan. I love these older sections. My bike was my trusty steed. I park in Brooklyn and take the Brooklyn Bridge, and straight off the ramp and go to my favorite spots.
It has the look of Spring hereabouts now, nothing like the scene above taken in early January this year. The lake, although still frozen solid, is a slippery semi-gloss and mostly bare of snow. However, the possibility of winter showing itself one or two more times gifting us with more snow remains. Happy Easter everyone!

Gothenburg is the second-largest city in Sweden. It is situated by Kattegatt on the west coast of Sweden, and has a population of approximately 570,000.
Gothenburg was founded as a heavily fortified, primarily Dutch, trading colony in 1621. In addition to the generous privileges (e.g. tax relaxation) given to his Dutch allies from the then-ongoing Thirty Years`War, the king also attracted significant numbers of his German and Scottish allies to populate his only town on the western coast. At a key strategic location at the mouth of the river Göta älv, where Scandinavia's largest drainage basin enters the sea, the Port of Gothenburg is now the largest port in the Nordic countries
Gothenburg is home to many students, as the city includes the University of Gothenburg and Chalmers University of Technology. Volvo was founded in Gothenburg in 1927. Other key companies are SKF and Astra Zeneca.
Looks like another beautiful day. It let me back on a couple of times yesterday. Some of my comments wouldn't post and some pictures came up with the description on top of them. Or if they had no description, the first comments on top of them! So it's working, but not well. Not sure when or if I'll ever catch up, but I'll keep trying. Everyone that I've made a contact, it's because I truly enjoy your friendship and looking at your pictures!
“She has a quiet confidence that screams loud. She is humble, but strong. She is stable, but rebellious. She is giving, but not naive. She chooses her battles wisely. She'll stay silent until it's time to fight...and when that time comes; she will fight and she will win!
It has been a good summer in Vancouver for Eastern Warblers, a Chestnut-sided, Ovenbird, Tennessee and now a Black-and-white! This bird was first found by Jacky Ip on July 5th and I was happy to relocate it early this morning.
Recently, I walked up the little hill on the other side of the street, where I found a lot of daisies in the morning dew. This was one of the few which had already opened up, where I really like that the background was not so much illuminated by the sun which draws the attention to the center of the picture. Hope you like it!
Baker has had a busy week chasing the little bunnies in our yard. They are much quicker than he is and can slip under our gates in a flash. He goes out and makes all kinds of noise and I allow the baying for a bit, as those dang bunnies are eating my garden. I am hoping they get the message soon. I hope everyone has a great week.

Autumn is here, and it makes me feel sad. After a few months of midnight sun, we will soon have 4-5 months in the dark.

Another day has gone
I'm still all alone
How could this be?
You're not here with me
You never said goodbye
Someone tell me why
Did you have to go?
And leave my world so cold
Everyday I sit and ask myself
How did love slip away?
Something whispers in my ear and says
That you are not alone
I am here with you
Though you're far away
I am here to stay
But you are not alone
I am here with you
Though we're far apart
You're always in my heart
But you are not alone

Thought this was an amusing pic of a Little Owl peeping round the side of a tree from the hole he was sat in!
Many thanks to all who take the time to view, comment or fav my images.
A new week has started and the tiny little helpers of little world are back to work. Right now this brilliant victorinox pocketknife needs some maintenance from them. After the use of some oil he is checking if the can opener works smooth enough to pass the quality control :)

Peter has seen a terrarium with Scout and Paddy and wants to make one himself.
With a marmelade jar, some moss and a few fairytale characters (Little Red Riding Hood and the Bad Wolf) he has turned it into something beautiful.
PETER:
Oleg, can you help me?
OLEG:
Okay, what should I do.
PETER: Can you hold me. I have to put the bad wolf somewhere else, because it's too close to Little Red Riding Hood.
OLEG:
Careful Peter!
PETER:
Mission accomplished!
What will Scout, Paddy, Cousin Paddington, Bogart and Daddy think of it.
OLEG:
I think they like it. You did your very best, Peter!
Spring Has Sprung beautiful sunny day with nice white clouds and shiny new leaves, shot in North Carolina.
So, has he completely lost it? No, not the driver, me. Well, who refers to oneself in the third person? That may be one indication of losing it. Actually, no to that as well. Now that I have proven to myself that I am capable of using HDR responsibly, I thought I may as well give into the temptation that devil software is throwing at me and apply this process in a manner that results in something completely different. I always wanted to do a minimalist color image without completely giving up on color because I am addicted to it. Quite like the effect “contrast optimizer” has on the bucket loader. That’s why I cropped top and bottom to feature the loader a bit more prominently. The reason the sides are uncropped is because I liked the effect on the fence to the right of the loader and on the faux brick wall to the left of the loader. And no, not to worry, you won’t see too many of these shots going forward. No sense in getting carried away. Less is usually more unless we are dealing with Marzipan which is powerful enough to make me .…
