Let us step into the night and pursue that flighty temptress, adventure ~J.K. Rowling

I live inside my own world of make-believe

Kids screaming in their cradles, profanities

I see the world through eyes covered in ink and bleach

Cross out the ones who heard my cries and watched me weep

I love everything

Fire's spreading all around my room

My world’s so bright

It's hard to breathe but that's alright

New Jersey's Governor Phil Murphy ordered that all flags across New Jersey be lowered to half-staff indefinitely in honor of those we have lost, and will lose, during the pandemic.

San Jose, California.

This shot of a Half Moon Bay, California sunset was taken from the top of our RV for a local RV calendar. The objective of the shot is to incorporate the small figure that is on top of the satellite dome on the right. It is a composite of 9 images combined into an HDR image in post processing. Saturday Self Challenge

The next SSC, 18th September 2021, is the last one before the September Equinox, which is when the days have equal durations of dark and light. So the challenge is to produce a single image which is clearly of two halves, but isn't a montage or a diptych, and is half and half, so not one third / two thirds etc..

I had quite a few shots lined up for this challenge but I picked this one. I shall leave the viewer to work out what it is, which shouldn’t be too difficult.

Thank you for your visit and your comments, they are greatly appreciated.

Dicono ci sia il nostro meglio,

dentro un respiro soffocato

Another flower from my yard. I love the way the center stands out since half the petals are gone.

Quick upload this morning, I have to leave in a few minutes for a photo session.

I'll check back in later!!

Happy Sunshine Sunday! Oh and I guess it's Flag Day too by my calendar.

A White-tailed Buck looking a little lopsided, looks like his barber took a little too muck off the top!

This teasel was half hidden in between the leaves of a tree in the Pollinator Garden near the allotments in the field opposite our house. The sun was shining on it mid afternoon, which is why it stood out for me.

won't be on SL for a bit, (until June 8th-ish* getting a new battery for my laptop). But here's something to hold ya'll over. *thinks he's (me) the shit sometimes smdh*

When I looked up I saw half the moon there ... and half of the North Window Arch ... :)

Amazing how small the moon looks with the wide angle lens.

I could upload an image a day of all those charming alleyways in Morocco for at least half a year. But I also want to show other things and have to find a way out of this dilemma.

This iconic view of Yosemite's Half Dome never gets old to me....

Half the Story is a macro photograph of a chrysanthemum.

Was that a half a wink or just a glare at the lens?
