Half Moon is a trip. Half Moon held a Fun Palace free family fun day with a recycling theme on Saturday 3 October 2015. Throughout the day we had a variety of free family events, including 15 min interactive storytelling performances, bottle top art, science experiments, craft sessions, an interactive art installation and a garden area where you could plant a seed in a pot. Plus, there was a junk orchestra!
Fun Palaces shouts, sings, shimmies, stomps from the rooftops: arts and sciences, all culture, is a crucial part of human life, and they are truly glorious.
Fun Palaces is a free, nationwide celebration of arts and culture inspired by theatre director Joan Littlewood and architect Cedric Price’s never-built vision of the Fun Palace, a welcoming and engaging venue for arts and sciences.

Half Moon Friars Gate - Currently open but for sale, in fact the opening times are a bit erratic. But worth a visit for the Harveys bitter and Selhurst sausage sandwiches.
