we wrestled the last night...it was unexpected and so fucking entertaining & grounding in our animalistic nature. i wanted to have my huge drawing pad and just gesturing their stances and face expressions...got some pictures but they suck arse. i dont have the lens for that shit.
altho today i got back super tired after dropping eveeryone off. & had forgotten that i was supposed to take my mum & pop to a funeral. i really didnt want to go. i didnt feel like i was well enough to drive. but i did make the promise so i fucking went.
i really wish my brother had taken them. it was the same mortuary[whateverthefucktheyrecalled] as my friend who died a little while ago. fucking depressing. fucking unnecessary connection that needed to be made. but its truth. and i cant ignore/stray from/hide it.
fuck it. life goes on without them physically here. mentally they're engraved.
although the way in which the lady [funeral that i attended today] died was a fucking abomination. succumbing to depression. completely. wholey. fucking stupid and angers me and i hate it. i hate that thats a possibility! i wouldnt wish that upon anyone! i wouldnt ever want to go through such a SEVERE case. im not the happiest princess on this motherfucking mickeymousse planet...but id kill myself before id let myself live life listless in a death bed watching mindless bullshit on the television for months on end...

The Postcard
A postcard that was published by W. H. and printed in Germany. On the back of the card the publishers state:
"A Real Photograph,
Handpainted".
The poem plumbs new depths of awfulness.
The card was posted in Ilford on Wednesday the 17th. June 1914 to:
Miss M. Davis,
13, Gartmore Road,
Goodmayes.
There was a pencilled message on the divided back of the card:
"Dear May,
Many Happy Returns
of To-day.
Hope we have not
mistaken the date,
not sure which it was.
See you soon,
Freda & Will".
The Grounding of the RFA Maine
So what else happened on the day that Freda and Will posted the card?
Well, on the 17th. June 1914, the British hospital ship RFA Maine ran aground in thick fog off the Isle of Mull, Scotland.
All of her crew, medical staff and patients were rescued, but the damage was too great for repair, and the ship was sold locally for scrap in July 1914. The scrapping was only done in a piecemeal way, and on the 23rd. September 1969 the vessel was found in deep water broken up and spread over a wide area.

trying to figure out how to install - I used yellow on white and black on brass but what I think I really need is an electric meter reader.

This project will replace the right hand lane and shoulders in the westbound direction with a new concrete lane and asphalt shoulders. Crews will also replace severely cracked panels in the left hand lane and grind the roadway surface to improve the ride and extend the life of the pavement. This project will restore signing, striping, and other basic safety features.
Wheat Grinding Windmill De Gerechtigheid

Six centuries ago (around 1360) a wooden windmill for grounding grain stood in Katwijk aan de Rijn and was managed by Philips of Wassenaer, duke of Leiden. The present mill built of stone in a round shape was erected by Hendrik van der Meule in 1740 (see detail of plaque photo). Unfortunately, the mill caught fire and burned out completely only 12 years after a thorough restoration had been done in 1951. The municipality of Katwijk purchased the ruin in 1965 and rebuilt it in 1968, although altering the roof and the arms. In its present state it functions fully at set times and can be toured by appointment.
Korenmolen DE GERECHTIGHEID (1740)
Zes eeuwen geleden (circa 1360) stond reeds in Katwijk aan de Rijn een houten korenmolen, beheerd door Philips van Wassenaer, burggraaf van Leiden. De huidige ronde stenen molen werd in 1740 gebouwd door Hendrik van der Meule. Type stelling- of baliemolen. De molen is 12 jaar na een grondige restauratie dat in 1951 werd uitgevoerd, volledig afgebrand. In 1965 kocht de gemeente Katwijk de molen aan en een algehele restauratie werd gedaan in 1968, waarbij kapvorm is gewijzigd en wieksysteem is aangebracht. De huidige molen is volledig bedrijfsvaardig, draait en maalt op geregelde tijden en kan op afspraak worden bezichtigd.
