labradorite is considered a "dream" stone - in that it helps scattered people focus their dreams and start achieving
fluorite is healing and grounding. Since it comes in all colors it's calming for all aspects of the personality.

Royal Iris departing from Eastham Locks grounded and started to take on water. A major incident was declared and New Brighton's Lifeboat and Hovercraft along with Marine Fire One, Pilot launch Kittiwake and WD Michel raced to the scene. Royal Iris came alongside the Dredger Deo Gloria, and started to transfer some of her 70 passengers onto Deo Gloria. Coastguard as far as Flint & Crosby where dispatched to assist, and Deo Gloria towed Royal Iris into the QE2 oildock where Merseyside Fire Brigade where waiting to assist with pumping out.

Habitée par ce poème de Dylan Thomas, qui évoque les puissances contradictoires de la nature, l’œuvre "Groundings" de Bill Vincent emprunte au symbolisme botanique pour exprimer les forces de la vie et de la mort.
"Groundings" comporte une série de gravures et une œuvre vidéo. Herbier des villes, l’ensemble "Crackflowers" rend hommage à ces plantes hardies et laides, souvent piétinées, qui poussent dans les failles du bitume et dont la présence n’est jamais souhaitée. À cette murale s’ajoute la vidéo "Parabole" une courte animation projetée sur un amas de pierres, qui s’inspire du texte biblique "La parabole du semeur".

Natif de London en Ontario, Bill Vincent a choisi en 1975 de vivre et d'entreprendre sa carrière en arts visuels à Québec. Privilégiant la gravure sur bois comme moyen d'expression, il réalise dès 1986 ses premières séries en peinture, explorant aussi la sculpture et le multimédia.
Depuis 1999, il a réalisé plusieurs projets d'intégration des arts en architecture (projets de 1%) provenant du Gouvernement du Québec.
Ses gravures sur bois et autres procédés d'estampes ont été présentés dans plusieurs expositions individuelles et collectives au Québec, au Mexique, en Europe, en Amérique du Nord et du Sud ainsi qu'en Asie et en Afrique. On retrouve ses œuvres dans plusieurs collections publiques.

Inveneo is proud to be an implementing partner with Creative Associates in the Tanzania 21st Century Basic Education Program (Tz21) where our role is to lead the technology intervention design and deployment with Kicheko Ltd, our Inveneo Certified ICT Partner (ICIP) in Tanzania. Together, Inveneo and Kicheko have been instrumental in introducing sustainable technology solutions that are relevant to rural Tanzanian schools that often lack electrical power and ICT skilled staff.
Recently we passed a major milestone in the program - the deployment of information and communication technologies to 5 pilot schools.
Dr. H.E. Kavishe of Kicheko, Wayan Vota and Jen Overgaag of Inveneo, assisted by a cadre of Kicheko technicians, installed a mix of laptops, desktops, LED projectors and related networking and power equipment at Naliendele, Kambarage, Darajani, and Kisiwandui Primary Schools, and Machakaeni Teacher Center.
The pilot deployment is testing technology configurations and the installation was used to train local engineers on Inveneo installation methodologies in preparation for the major ICT deployment to all schools, scheduled for early 2012.

Consists of several of my own photos, two trees, the metal piece - the bird is a statue in Whangarei. The shining lights that come from the top right were actually the shadow of a glass where the sunshine came through. I was rather surprised by the effect this had :-)
