A rare bird in the U.S. Never more than a handful north of the Rio Grande at any given time. Anis live in small groups of one to five breeding pairs. They defend a single territory and lay their eggs in one communal nest. All group members incubate the eggs and care for the young. Unique behavor. Our beautiful world, pass it on.

Raiki, sitting on the deck rail in front of the now leafless burning bush.
Not a Sample Sale bargain, but a guy I ordered before all the deals showed up. I didn't like Raiki for the longest time. And then he supposedly sold out. So of course then I decided I needed him. And then he came back into stock. Yeah!
My newest addition got a wig she deserves. I´m so happy to have her even I first had mixed feelings concerning her fur arm thingies of her stock outfit... Gotta say I do like her face-up very much. None of my other dolls have a face-up with that much lashes and detail! ♥
"A Spicy Blend of Beats
Catch a crowd-pleasing performance by a new group of award-winning international musicians.
Across Morocco and the Mediterranean, “matboukha” is known as a spicy appetizer made up of cooked spices and vegetables. And much like this rich side dish, the band Matboukha Groove packs a satisfying and zesty punch.
Get a taste of the excitement when this cultural troupe hits the stage at the Morocco Pavilion multiple times throughout the day. You’ll be treated to an energizing mix of North African and Moroccan percussion, Arabic and Mediterranean melody and irresistible Latin rhythms".

My longest running friend (we first met when we were three) emailed me the other day suggesting I did a tribute piece to the band we made when we were about 10. The band was called "Groove" and mainly consisted of singing along to pre-recorded beats on my mini Yamaha keyboard, recording them on our cassette machine, then forcing my younger sister to buy them for real pocket monies... The lyrics featuring in this piece were to the tune of that 90s classic, "venus"...

'BEAK GROOVES.' (2)
A very confiding 1st winter Herring Gull photographed on a harbour jetty.
It follows on from my previous image and gives detail of the gull's beak structure. It shows the grooves down which a salt solution travels, (excreted from the nasal salt glands), in order to reach the tip of the beak. One short shallow groove runs from the widest end of the nostril. Another longer, deeper groove runs directly under the nostril, from about midway. When the solution reaches the beak tip it forms a large droplet and either drips off or is shaken off by the gull.
BEST VIEWED LARGE.
I posted a shot a few weeks ago of this field with the fleece covering the seedlings. We had a cycle past the field at the weekend and it had developed into this, looks like carrots?!
Raphaël, still here and still pretty.
I forgot how to photograph the Pullip... I'm used to photograph BJD now ^^"

Candid eye contact street photography from Glasgow, Scotland. The fabulous style and attitude of this guy just took my mind to 1970s New York, like a scene from a movie. I gave the shot a light vintage processing to suit that and the title, a song by Hello, just felt like a perfect fit. I pushed the processing a little far with the banding in top right of frame but I still love the image. Enjoy!
