Another model in my series of Star Wars vehicles reimagined using real world physics and technology.
This time it is the Razor Crest that gets a redesign.
Ailerons, slats, elevators and rudder are all movable and the landing gear is retractable too.
Considering how similar the original Razor Crest looks to the AN-72, that felt like the best aircraft to reference while building this. Much of the design is also based on the official Razor Crest set from Lego.
Grogu.

As the centuries past Grogu remained fond of the Mandalorians he spent his early years with. In his fourth century cycle he in turn took in a young Mandalorian girl. At an early age Ma'Ri showed a promising connection with the force.
Could it be? A Mandalorian? A Jedi?

🚀MCG+07-33-027. This galaxy lies some 300 million light-years away from us, and is currently experiencing an extraordinarily high rate of star formation — a starburst. Normal galaxies produce only a couple of new stars per year, but starburst galaxies can produce a hundred times more than that! As MCG+07-33-027 is seen face-on, the galaxy’s spiral arms and the bright star-forming regions within them are clearly visible and easy for astronomers to study.

This is a little Vignette of Peli Motto‘s hangar in Mos Eisley which I quite long wanted to build and now it came up as a vignette. I‘m watching Mandalorian the second time now and I like it very much, so maybe I’ll build some more 12x12 MOCs of other locations from the series. Now I simply had to build some Tattooine too (also to take the chance to build some of the walls and doors they usually have there 😅) and Peli Motto‘s hangar was a good option. In general I‘m happy with it, the wall techniqe and the details. I hope you‘ll like it too and in case of that please leave a fave, a follow or write in the comments below.

Back when I built my first Darksaber in 2017, it had yet to make any appearance in live action. When it debuted in The Mandalorian, the hilt underwent some significant design changes from its animated counterpart. With season 3 about to debut, I finally decided it was time to build a more screen-accurate version!
The main goal of this version was to capture a more rounded shape, more accurate hilt detailing and texture, and to have a blade that could be removed without too much dismantling. Just like my previous version, this one can handle some mild swinging, and it is sturdy despite the blade being only one stud thick! I also wanted to make the stand look a little nicer and stronger, unlike the previous stand that I had slapped together at the last minute. Like always, this build was designed digitally using tools like BrickLink Studio.
This is the first MOC that I’ve built or posted in about 4 1/2 years. In that time away, I finished a degree, moved to another state, and had to leave most of my LEGO behind in storage. Between that and the pandemic, my motivation and energy to build MOCs had been very low. I’m very happy to have finally completed a new project, and hopefully there will be many more to come!

April 11th 2018, Porto Novo, Santo Antao, Cape Verde. Used in the production of Grogcap (Cape Verdian Rhum). Grog (Grogue) is the national drink of Cape Verde. It is rum distilled from sugar cane with an alcohol rate of 40%. The smell of the drink reminds of warm banana. Grogue is also called grogu or grogo. The artisanal liquor is associated with the Cape Verdeans and is drunk on several occasions.
Immediately after the discovery of Cape Verde (1462) grogue was produced and consumed by the Portuguese. In 1740 grogue was introduced in Europe by the British Navy Admiral Vernon. In the first centuries liquor from cane sugar was prohibited. It was thought that this was not good for your health. After a period of mostly illegal and underground production of grogue, production was legalized in 1900.
