Frogs are able to camouflage themselves to match their surroundings, although their camouflage attempts aren't as rapid as those of chameleons. This is one of our backyard pond green frogs, attempting to match the colors of the plants and rocks in the pond. She was fairly well hidden, I had to look very closely to find her. This is a hard crop. Backyard photography.

I don't know if the green stuff collecting on the lakeshore and creek inlets is good or bad for fishing birds - seems like it would be mighty hard to see prey through it. Regardless, this Green Heron was giving it a go. The Green Heron is a personal favorite of mine - it just looks like those wing tips are trimmed in gold.

Green sky by northern lights. The lights from passing cars made the boat brighter on one side.

My very first capture of the green hairstreak. This butterfly was on my wishlist for a long time. Now that I found it I can scratch it from my macro photography bucketlist. I will return to the location soon to spot it again with some better lighting conditions.
