Along quiet streams or shaded riverbanks, a lone Green Heron may flush ahead of the observer, crying 'kyow' as it flies up the creek. This small heron is solitary at most seasons and often somewhat secretive, living around small bodies of water or densely vegetated areas. Seen in the open, it often flicks its tail nervously, raises and lowers its crest. The 'green' on this bird's back is an iridescent color, and often looks dull bluish or simply dark. ~ Audubon.org

Today is a green day at Color my World Daily and I decided to try a levitating book. It wasn’t easy so please be kind: it is my first self levitating book.
Today, is my running /laundry folding / decluttering day. i must admit: except for running the two other activities aren’t on my « favorite things to do » list… Usually I don’t mind but I’m super lazy lately, so the decluttering process has, once again, slowed down… wish me luck, my friends ! I will need all the extra motivation today.
So, how do you feel about levitating books ? Are they creepy or not ?

This is a necklace made of tiny green plastic beads. A present from a friend who moved away. I had to crop it to show only the allowed 3 inches and might show more of it in a different image. Once I looked at the image on the computer I knew I wanted to do high key. My problem was the green/yellow tinge on the white paper I'd used as back ground, I adjusted WB but right behind the beads I couldn't get rid of it, so I cranked my exposure up, thereby losing detail in the thin strands of plastic. But I accepted the trade off.
I'm always happy to see a Green Heron when I get the chance. Taken at Guanacaste, Costa Rica.

Today is a green day at Color my World Daily and a running /laundry folding day at my house. So why not celebrating with a green picture ?
And since I got all those new props from China why not try to incorporate them in my green picture ? So here it is : my vintage green book for a good read, a tiny reading lamp in case it is too dark (or you are just at this point in your life when you need extra lamp for reading…) and a tiny green house in case it is raining and you have to go inside in order to read your book…I hope you will like my picture !!
I have to run before folding my laundry and before all my motivation disappear !! See you later !!

Green Heron

Green Herons are common and widespread, but they can be hard to see at first. Whereas larger herons tend to stand prominently in open parts of wetlands, Green Herons tend to be at the edges, in shallow water, or concealed in vegetation. Visit a wetland and carefully scan the banks looking for a small, hunch-backed bird with a long, straight bill staring intently at the water. Their harsh skeow call is also a good clue. Green Herons are also distinctive in flight, with slow beats of their rounded wings making them look a bit like a tailless crow. Their habit of often briefly unfolding their neck during flight helps make them recognizable, too.
