From the Greek mythology, these are Medusa's Eyes. She had the power of turning into stone all who looked upon it.
Thank you very much for the kind comments and faves, much appreciated!🙋♀️
The dorsal views of many Comma species are very similar as in this shot of the dorsal side of this Green Comma which looks like the dorsal side of other Comma species.
The Commas have cryptic camouflage patterns on the ventral side, as well as as irregular cuts at the edge of their wings as seen on the ventral view also posted this evening.

A pair of SD70ACe/LCi's leading a loaded iron ore train up the BHP main pause at Spring, Western Australia just north of the FMG overpass. The first minutes of sunrise illuminate the silhouette of the train on another picture perfect day in the Pilbara.

I really enjoy photographing the beautiful colors of Green Herons. This one unexpectedly brightened my very steamy summer day at the Deering Estate in South Miami on Biscayne Bay.
A not so great shot of one of the coolest things I've ever seen in a tide pool.
Palm Island, St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
The last from my Green World, all will be yellow and orange for a while.
