The U.S. Air Force Armament Museum was founded in 1975. It is the only musuem dedicated primarily to the armaments carried by the Air Force, and boasts a collection of over 30 aircraft (U.S. and a few foreign), as well as hundreds of examples of munitions used by aerial warfare through history. Two-image composite panorama of CSS Neuse II. Built in 2009 at the site on the Neuse River where the CSS Neuse was fitted out from 1863 - 1864, the CSS Neuse II is a full-sized, fully fitted out replica. Interior compoartments and equipment are replicated as well as all external features. The Neuse II is the only 100% complete life-sized Civil War ironclad replica (the life-sized replica of USS Monitor in Newport News, Virginia, is an external model only with no internal compartments). It's 210 feet tall and contains a massive shrine room, underneath of which is a 30,000 square foot museum depicting the history of Indiana's involvement in all the nation's wars. Built in 1810, the historic Grassmere House was the center of the Dunn family. Margaret and Elise Croft, the great-great granddaughters of Michael Dunn, the original owner, lived here until both passed away in the 1980s, their wills stipulating the land be donated to Nashville as long as it was used for animal studies. The Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park is a 158-acre (64 ha) botanical garden and outdoor sculpture park. It has a rather huge tropical conservatory, extensive Japanese garden, and winding paths that combine the natural and the art world by mixing the Meijers' sculpture collection into the garden landscape. Rising over 567 feet high, the San Jacinto Monument is the tallest battlement tower in the world. It commemorates the 1836 Battle of San Jacinto in which Texas won its independence from Spain, and its base contains a museum of Texas history, and the top of the tower contains an observation deck. The Henry M Jackson Visitors Center in Paradise area of Mount Rainier. Mount Rainier the highest peak of the Cascade volcanoes, rising 14,411 feet above sea level. The abandoned and crumbling power house ovder the Little Patuxent River at historic Savage Mill has been left to ruin even as the rest of the mill was reborn as a unique shopping center. Savage Mill started life in 1821 as a cotton mill in Savage, Maryland. (Nathanael Miller. 05 May 2018)

Built in 1854 as a fur trading post, this buidling was orgiinally a two-story structure. From 1860 - 1861 it was used as the Sam Machette Station. The city moved it from the outskirts to its current location in 1931. Unfortunately, the first floor of the structure was structurally unsound by the time of the move, so the city demolished the lower level and established the upper floor on the new foundation. The Museum of Idaho had its genesis in the 1898 ladies' Village Improvement Society club. The museum tells the storhy of Idaho from prehistory through the present day. It's current temporary exhibit is the world premier of Bruce Rosenbaum's Steampunk artwork, honoring such visonaries and inventors as Mary Shelly, Jan Ernst Matzeliger, George Eastman, Jules Verne, and H.G. Pikes Peak reaches a height of 14,115 feat, though its summit can be blocked by early winter storms due ot its extreme height. The Hurstville Lime Kilns are the only remaining major structural element of the major lime-producing factory and town begun by Alfred Hurst in 1871.
