I am thrilled to be photographing the Derwent Dam in the Peak District National Park. This is an amazing location to capture some stunning photos and appropriate the work and hours that went in to building it.

La más conocida popularmente como Iglesia de las Carmelitas está ubicada en el Barrio Prado, zona oeste de Montevideo, destacándose por ser un hermoso templo católico de estilo gótico con una fachada y espacios interiores muy bien conservados.
Si bien los montevideanos la llaman las Carmelitas me parece importante que sepas que en realidad son los Carmelitas, siendo realmente la Iglesia de los Carmelitas.
La Iglesia, que es obra de los arquitectos A. Isola y G. Armas., fue construida en el año 1929. Está ubicada a pocos metros del Jardín Botánico y del Rosedal del Prado, por lo que es una buena opción para asistir a misa en una mañana de domingo y luego pasear por el barrio Prado.
The most popularly known as Carmelite Church is located in the Prado neighborhood, west of Montevideo, standing out as a beautiful Gothic Catholic church with a well preserved façade and interior spaces.
While the Montevideans call it the Carmelites I think it is important that you know that they are actually the Carmelites, really being the Church of the Carmelites.
The church, which is the work of the architects A. Isola and G. Armas, was built in 1929. It is located a few meters from the Botanical Garden and the Prado Rosedal, making it a good choice to attend Mass On a Sunday morning and then stroll through the Prado neighborhood.

De Martinitoren, gelegen aan de Grote Markt, is de bekendste en met zijn 96,8 meter ook de hoogste toren van de stad Groningen. De toren hoort bij de Martinikerk. Voor de stadjers, de inwoners van de stad, heeft de toren de bijnaam d' Olle Grieze, Gronings voor de oude grijze.

Le Cathedral Close de la cathédrale anglicane St. Patrick, 43 Abbey St, Armagh, Irlande du Nord, Royaume-Uni.
À Armagh, deux cathédrales furent bâties au sommet d’une colline en l’honneur de saint Patrick venu évangéliser la ville, une catholique et l’autre anglicane, chacune appelée Saint Patrick.
Après plusieurs restaurations aux 18e et 19e s., la cathédrale anglicane St. Patrick est aujourd'hui un sobre bâtiment de style gothique Perpendicular. L'extérieur est décoré d'une série de grotesques médiévales en pierre et d'un cadran solaire datant de 1706. Des jardins entourent l'édifice. Une plaque, sur le mur extérieur rappelle que l'église est située sur l'ancienne tombe de Brian Boru, roi d'Irlande ayant vaincu les Vikings en 1014.
Armagh est donc une très vieille ville qui date des premiers temps de l'évangélisation menée par saint Patrick après 430. Les ruelles du centre de la ville suivent les fossés qui entouraient jadis l’église fondée par ce missionnaire en 455.

A ladear a porta do braço do transepto N., surgem duas lápides, a do lado esquerdo em granito polido, com os sulcos avivados a dourado, com a inscrição "MVSEV DA / MATRIZ"; a do lado direito possui várias réguas de letras em relevo de distintas dimensões, com a seguinte inscrição: "ERA / D(e) 150 / 4 AN(o)S / IH(ES)VS / ESTA CAPELA MAND(AR)V(M) fazer / OS MAREANTES"; aves, cruzes e elementos fitomórficos decoram a lápide.

Built in a stripped back, Gothic style, the former Catholic Church on River Road in the tiny country town of Woodford is a classic example of an unassuming and elegant country church.
Although now used for commercial premises, the former Woodford Catholic Church remains intact and maintains many of its original Gothic features including its parapeted gables, the vertical element of the cross on the skyline and the tracery around the lancet windows. All of these are typical Gothic architectural features. It also still retains its original Gothic style stained glass windows.
Sadly, with no foundation stone or memorial plaque it is impossible to date the church, and I can find no record of it.
Woodford is a very small township in the Western District of Victoria, located nine kilometres north of Warrnambool. The town is home to Woodford Primary School which opened on the first of May 1854. Woodford Post Office opened on 1 January 1854, and closed sometime in 1975. It's population consists of only a few hundred people these days.
