The central portal of Strasbourg Cathedral s West facade. The portal carries a statue of Mary with the Baby Jesus, statues of martyrs and saints, as well as a representation of the Passion of the Christ.
On 26 June 1852 Antoni Gaudí was baptized in this church. Built in the XVI century, in late Gothic style, has a nave flanked by small chapels. According to what appears in the Book of Baptisms of the Priory, the architect received the names of Antoni Placid Guillem. The following year, on 10 September 1853, Antoni Gaudí also received confirmation.
This is the oldest church in Reus, and is dedicated to the patron saint of the city San Pedro.
El día 26 de junio de 1852 Antoni Gaudí fue bautizado en esta iglesia. Levantada en el S. XVI, en estilo gótico tardío, tiene una nave única flanqueada por pequeñas capillas laterales. De acuerdo a lo que aparece en el Libro de Bautismos de la Prioral, el arquitecto recibió los nombres de Antonio, Plácido y Guillem. El año siguiente, el día 10 de septiembre de 1853, Antoni Gaudí también recibió la confirmación.

Sir William Powell Almshouses, Church Gate, Fulham, seen from the churchyard of All Saints Fulham. Founded in 1680 and rebuilt in neo-Gothic style in 1869 by architect John Pollard Seddon, the buildings are Grade II* listed. The almshouses still exist; managed by the Sir Oswald Stoll Foundation, they provide 12 one bedroom flats for older women.

Der Altenberger Dom, häufig auch der “Bergische Dom” genannt, ist die Kirche der ehemaligen Zisterzienser-Abtei Altenberg (1133-1803) und heute Pfarrkirche der Kath. Pfarrgemeinde St. Mariä Himmelfahrt, Altenberg. Die Kirche wurde nach französischen Vorbildern 1259-1379
als turmlose Querschiff-Basilika mit Chorumgang und Kapellenkranz erbaut. Der Innenraum strahlt eine strenge Form der Gotik aus.
The City Hall of Leuven, Belgium, is a landmark building on that city's Grote Markt (Main Market) square, across from the monumental St. Peter's Church. Built in a Brabantine Late Gothic style between 1448 and 1469, it is famous for its ornate architecture, crafted in lace-like detail. Leuven, Belgium.

The City Hall of Ghent in East Flanders, Belgium, consists of several parts. The right-hand part in my photo is 16th-century Gothic style, with niches that were meant to contain statues of the Counts of Flanders.
The part on the left was built in the late 16th and early 17th century, in Renaissance style. I've only captured the top of the building because I didn't want to include passers-by and traffic.

À Armagh, deux cathédrales furent bâties au sommet d’une colline en l’honneur de saint Patrick venu évangéliser la ville, une catholique et l’autre anglicane, chacune appelée St Patrick.
La plus frappante est la catholique, un édifice en hauteur surmonté de deux flèches jumelles et précédé d'une volée de 44 marches. La construction débuta en 1840 dans le style gothique Perpendicular de Duff, mais la Grande Famine imposa un arrêt des travaux jusqu'en 1854. Elle fut achevée en 1873 par McCarthy dans le style gothique Decorated. Les statues dans les niches de la façade principale représentent les apôtres.
Armagh est donc une très vieille ville qui date des premiers temps de l'évangélisation menée par saint Patrick après 430. Les ruelles du centre de la ville suivent les fossés qui entouraient jadis l’église fondée par ce missionnaire en 455.

Plas Newydd "new hall" or "new mansion") is a historic house in the town of Llangollen, Denbighshire, Wales, and was the home of the Ladies of Llangollen, Lady Eleanor Butler and Sarah Ponsonby, for nearly 50 years. 1780 – 1829. Today, it is run as a museum by Denbighshire County Council..
Plas Newydd is notable as the home where two Irish ladies, Lady Eleanor Butler and Miss Sarah Ponsonby (the Ladies of Llangollen) eloped and set up house together in the late 18th century, scandalising contemporary British society. Plas Newydd was originally a five-roomed stone cottage, but over the years it was enlarged to include many Gothic features. Although originally ostracised by their families, the ladies and their unconventional lifestyle gradually became accepted, and their home was visited by many famous people including Robert Southey, William Wordsworth, Caroline Lamb and Sir Walter Scott, the Duke of Wellington and the industrialist Josiah Wedgwood.
The ladies also expanded and improved the gardens, adding many Gothic features such as a "ruined" archway, rustic bridges over rushing torrents and a temple that included a font removed from the ruined Valle Crucis Abbey. Ornate greenhouses grew exotic fruit, and poetic notices were attached to trees.
After their deaths in 1829 and 1831, the property passed through various hands and saw a number of changes. General John Yorke added the black and white features on the exterior and filled the interior with oddities from around the world. In 1932 the house was acquired by Llangollen Urban District Council and it is now a museum.

Matthias Church, Budapest.
Matthias Church is located at the heart of Buda's Castle District. According to church tradition, it was originally built in 1015. The current building was constructed in the florid late Gothic style in the second half of the 14th century and was extensively restored in the late 19th century. It was the second largest church in medieval Buda.
