Looking north towards Cholsey and Didcot.
Goring station in Berkshire was opened in 1840 by the GWR and is still open.
It was renamed "Goring & Streatley" in 1895 to avoid confusion with Goring-on-Sea in Sussex.
It is situated between Cholsey and Pangbourne stations.
In Kensington Gore
The chimney is connected to steam boilers in the Royal Albert Hall; it dates from 1884 and replaced another chimney that supported both the hall and an ajoining great conservatory that was part of the Royal Horticultural Society.

Navigando sul Tamigi: sosta alle chiuse (locks) che regolano il livello delle acque a Goring-on-Thames (South Oxfordshire).
La foto è stata scattata diversi anni fa ma le vedute che si ammirano viaggiando lungo il "Vecchio Padre Thames", a parte qualche particolare, sono sempre le stesse di oltre 30 anni fa. La sensazione è quasi quella di fare un viaggio nel passato ed è inevitabile la suggestione letteraria di Jerome con il suo "Tre uomini in barca": la descrizione dei paesaggi, le situazioni e le immagini presenti tra le pagine sono infatti ancora attualissime !
