Gingerbread dough is used to build gingerbread houses similar to the "witch's house" encountered by Hansel and Gretel.
Gingerbread Angels and Christmas Tree Skirt.
Angels made out of felt, and felt appliques sewn on to the Tree Skirt, all in the Gingerbread theme.
I decided this year to give a gingerbread house a go.
I made my own template and did a lot of research online and on you tube to figure out what I liked and what I didn't like and the logistics of it all and this is the result.
I decorated all the pieces before assembling it together. The roof is flood iced with royal icing and a fondant snowflake cut out and stick on the roof.
My favourite part of the house is the small bits of 'snow' on the window panes. Simple but effective.
