Yehezkel has always been a regular visitor on the beach, summers & winters. And although his left leg is amputated, we used to swim together far, far behind the wave breakers. It took us over an hour to reach Cyprus, as we jokingly called our destination, and another hour back.
Yep, those were the days.
Time will have its way with us, one way or another.
when i was...well let us not go there...when i was a lot younger, i found this Horticulture magazine cover to be prophetic...as you can see i save it all these years...recently came across it while cleaning out my studio....certainly 84 or 94 or maybe even 104 but not 64

Happy 35th birthday to my brother Dan, being a full-time dad is definitely keeping his hands full these days!
Some days i feel like i'm just watching my life go by...
Oh, it's not that i'm sitting there doing nothing. On the contrary, i'm almost always in motion.
But life goes by in such a way that i'm left feeling as though i'm in slow motion as life fast forwards all around me.
It's hard to think of myself in terms of "middle aged" but i most certainly am.
It's even more of a mystery how I have no little kids any more, just teens and adults.
Seriously? I don't feel middle aged. Every now and then reality just reaches out and knocks me upside the head ~ "HEY YOU! Where did all the time go?? Don't you know your life is half over?"
Then i think... maybe, just maybe, the best is yet to come. :o)

Sometimes ageing is quicker than we want but there's little we can do about that. This one little rose is getting close to the end but yet the other roses (purchased on the same day) continue to flourish!
Growing older doesn't come easy!!
