I am really enjoying getting back to do a weekly spread – on Monday, I think of something that is unique to the week and then record random and mainly extremely trivial things that happen each day - it is fun to re-read at a later date the things that I thought to record at the time....sometimes the most trivial things trigger the most enjoyable memories!
OK, important to remember: my camera was still on its absolutely widest setting here - 18mm, according to EXIF. So if I'm this close, this should tell you something. It's tough to tell how close underwater, but it felt like four inches. In reality, probably a foot.
That fish? Eating algae off his back.
this was not my intended post for the day, but I posted it due to a few (offline) comments. I won't be publishing it to any groups (not at first, at least), so only contacts & stream visitors get to see it. The real photo for today is still to come...
What a long, busy day. I went to the Senior Center for the 8:30 AM HT Board meeting, the 9:30 AM HT meeting, and the 11:00 AM HT meeting. We helped some ladies get some necessities for our upcoming Caribbean cruise. After a stop at Walgreens, I drove to Langdale Place Assisted Living and danced a 45-minute show with the Senior Strutters. I came home and rested. Next I drove to Carol’s house. Carol, Tommy, Bill, and I went downtown Valdosta. We ate dinner at El Paso before attending “Doubt, A Parable” at the Dosta Playhouse. It was raining as we left the theater and made our way home.

this week i was trying to work on my backgrounds, making them have depth and movement, this is only my second acrylic painting, so I like the background, I am not happy with the whole thing, but I always seem to be at the bottom of the U with my art....I am inspired by Penelope Dullaghan penelopeillustration.com/ I still need to get better control for fine lines, I am used to carving in clay for my main picture, so soft brushes are quite a jump!
Scout has a passion for Cheez-its! If I get out a box he will jump right in my lap and try to steal them out of my hand on the way to my mouth. When the box empties he sticks his head all the way in and licks the crumbs off the bottom. It doesn't seem to bother him that he can't see. I grabbed the camera which was set up for some other type of shooting as usual and snapped away. When I realized what I had done he was done with the box. I figured "next" time I will be better prepared. So naturally they stopped printing "Get Your Own Box" on the packages. So this is the best of what I got.
Of course you do but what is it?

This day was spent hiking north/northwest of Göreme and I didn't have a proper map so I did get lost on occasion.

July 18, 2013;
Today I woke up at 8:30 and replied to a comment on a photo I had on my Facebook and then I went back to sleep and slept again until 10:30.
I literally laid in bed until 12 when Mom got home for her lunch break. Then we went and checked on my aunt and uncle's cat since they are on vacation. Then by the time we go that done it was basically time for her to go back to work. I made that my time to make myself go to the grocery store to get the rest of what was needed for dinner tonight.
After going to the grocery store I stopped at Subway and got an Italian B.M.T. on Honey Oat bread, even though I ate that exact same thing (different bread) last night for dinner. I seriously have a problem!
I didn't do too much after I got home, then at 4:15 I started dinner. We had sticky chicken which consists of your choice of chicken (we like to use boneless skinless chicken breasts) with russian salad dressing, a package of onion soup mix and a cup of apricot preserves. Then it cooks at 400 degrees for an hour. We served it over wild rice with a salad on the side, it was really good!
I decided to go lay on my bed after dinner because I was really full and I ended up sleeping for about 25-30 minutes before waking up and thinking that I needed to take a picture for the day.
I then remembered the bird's nest that I photographed earlier on in this 365 and wondered if there perhaps might be any eggs left in it even after they hatched. Sure enough there was one single on in there! It was the cutest little egg so small i just couldn't resist taking a picture of it!
That was my complete day though, I really am not that exciting.

It took a long time to get the cage in place so the men could get into the building. May 30, 2013, Christchurch New Zealand.
I had a really bad bug at the moment and not feeling at all well... but I did get some good news. ACC is going to cover the cost of my surgery on my knee and the operation is booked for July 12.

Although it just was a 50mm lens, aimed at the Deneb region again. Why the same region again you might ask, because i didn't got the result i was going for yet. This is starting to look more like it!
The star on the left is Deneb, with the North American Nebula below it. To the right, there are a bunch more nebulae! I was quite suprised it turned out like this without a modified DSLR.
