Mural "Searching Safety" (2016) przy ul. Młynarskiej przedstawia wzbijającego się do lotu białego ptaka złożonego z misternie wymalowanych desek i fragmentów domów. Może to być wzlatujący bałucki gołąb pokoju, symbol odrodzenia dzielnicy Łodzi, która ma za sobą najtrudniejszą historię. Dawnej dzielnicy żydowskiego getta.
Jego autorem jest Dede (Dede Bandaid) atysta z Tel-Avivu.
Mural "Searching Safety" (2016) at Młynarska str. presents a white bird, composed of intricately painted planks and fragments of houses, taking flight. It may be the soaring dove of peace, a symbol of the revival of the district of Łódź, which has the most difficult history behind it. Former district of the Jewish ghetto.
Its author is Dede (Dede Bandaid) an artist from Tel-Aviv.

All the photos I present were taken in the town of Taormina;
I made photos related to "street photography";
I photographed people who, for the most part, I had never met before, performing their portraits, I thank them for their sympathy and availability;
The volcano Etna, in recent days has shown an intense eruptive activity, I photographed that spectacular eruptions from Taormina;
I tried to capture minimal photographic stories, collected walking down the street .. ... in search of fleeting moments ...
For some photographs I used a particular photographic technique at the time of shooting, which in addition to capturing the surrounding space, also "inserted" a temporal dimension, with photos characterized by being moved because the exposure times were deliberately lengthened, they are confused -focused-imprecise-undecided ... the Anglo-Saxon term that encloses this photographic genre with a single word is "blur", these images were thus created during the shooting phase, and not as an effect created subsequently, in retrospect, in the post-production.

ho realizzato foto riconducibili alla “street photography”;
ho fotografato persone che, per la maggior parte, non avevo incontrato prima, eseguendo dei loro ritratti, le ringrazio per la loro simpatia e disponibilità;
il vulcano Etna, nei giorni scorsi ha mostrato una intensa attività eruttiva, anche con intensi fenomeni chiamati "fontane di lava", emissioni a getto continuo perdurate intensamente per molti minuti, di altissime "fontane" di magma incandescente, molto spettacolari e non comuni, le fotografie dell'Etna sono state realizzate da Taormina;
ho provato a cogliere storie fotografiche minime, raccolte camminando per la strada ... alla ricerca di attimi fugaci s-fuggenti ...
Ho utilizzato per alcune fotografie una tecnica fotografica particolare al momento dello scatto, che oltre a catturare lo spazio circostante, ha "inserito" anche una dimensione temporale, con foto caratterizzate dall’essere mosse poiché volutamente sono stati allungati i tempi di esposizione, sono confuse-sfocate-imprecise-indecise...il termine anglosassone che racchiude con una sola parola questo genere fotografico è "blur", queste immagini sono state così realizzate in fase di scatto, e non come un effetto creato successivamente, a posteriori, in fase di post-produzione.

Kazimierz Dolny is a small town in Poland, on the right bank of the Vistula river. It is a considerable tourist attraction as one of the most beautifully situated little towns in Poland. The history of Kazimierz Dolny dates back to the 11th century, when on one of the local hills there was a Benedictine settlement called Wietrzna Gora. In 1181, Prince Casimir II the Just handed the settlement to Norbertine nuns from Kraków’s district of Zwierzyniec. The nuns changed its name to Kazimierz, in honor of the prince. The foundation of the town is attributed to Władysław's son, King Casimir III the Great, who granted the town rights in the first half of the 14th century. Later, King Władysław II Jagiełło modernized Kazimierz Dolny, creating a modern town, with a market square and streets. At that time, the decision was taken not to build any houses on the northern side of the market square, so as not to obstruct the view of the church and the castle. It enjoyed its greatest prosperity in the 16th and the first half of the 17th century, due to the trade in grain conducted along the Vistula. It became an economic backwater after that trade declined, and this freeze in economic development enabled the town to preserve its Renaissance urban plan and appearance. The town's golden age ended in February 1656, when Swedish troops under King Charles X Gustav burned and ransacked it. The number of inhabitants declined, and King John III Sobieski tried to improve the situation, by allowing in 1677 Armenian, Greek and Jewish merchants to settle there. Meanwhile, the profitable Vistula river trade came to an end, as there was no demand for Polish grains in Western Europe. Since the 19th century it has become a popular holiday destination, attracting artists and summer residents.During World War II, the Germans established a ghetto and a forced labor camp in Kazimierz Dolny. In 1944, during the Soviet-German fights, the city was destroyed. After the war, the city was quickly rebuilt and reconstructed. Now Kazimierz is one of the greatest tourist attractions of the Lublin region, as a unique urban and landscape complex combining architectural values with a picturesque location. Many painters retreat to this small town to paint and sell their work. Galleries can be found in almost every street, offering for sale sculptures, stained-glass, folk art, and fine art. The town is one of Poland's official national Historic Monuments, as designated September 16, 1994.

Kazimierz Dolny – miasto w Polsce w województwie lubelskim, w powiecie puławskim, nad Wisłą. Nazwa miasta pochodzi prawdopodobnie od imienia księcia Kazimierza II Sprawiedliwego, który w 1181 r. nadał tutejsze ziemie klasztorowi Norbertanek z krakowskiego Zwierzyńca. Za panowania Władysława Łokietka, wzniesiono tu zachowaną do dziś kamienną wieżę obronną, będącą elementem wcześniejszej warowni pełniącej rolę strażnicy przy szlaku handlowym. Największe zasługi dla rozwoju miasta położył król Kazimierz III Wielki, przekształcając osadę podgrodową w miasto królewskie, lokowane na prawie polskim, budując tu m.in. zamek, fundując kościół parafialny oraz nadając herb z literą „K” umieszczoną pod koroną królewską. Również za panowania Kazimierza Wielkiego, u podnóża wzniesienia na którym zbudowano zamek i farę, wytyczono niewielki rynek. W 1406 r. miasto otrzymało od Władysława II Jagiełły prawo magdeburskie. Duże znaczenie miało także położenie na przecięciu szlaku wiślanego z traktem handlowym. Wraz z rozwojem handlu, kwitło także rzemiosło. Od połowy XVII w. wraz z nastaniem okresu wojen miasto zaczęło chylić się ku upadkowi. Już w 1655 r. zostało zniszczone przez wojska szwedzkie. W 1771 r., próbując ratować miasto król Stanisław August zrównał miejscowych Żydów w prawach z innymi obywatelami. Pozwolił im na zakup gruntów oraz wznoszenie domów na terenie całego miasta, a także na swobodny handel. Przyczyniło się to do ożywania gospodarczego miasta w drugiej połowie XVIII wieku. W 1866 r. wielki pożar zniszczył miasto, które ponownie podupadło gospodarczo. Odmianę losu Kazimierza przyniosło „odkrycie” go przez artystów i miłośników historii badających dawne dzieje Polski, inwentaryzujących i utrwalających wizerunki istniejących obiektów architektury i sztuki. Na przełomie XIX i XX w. miasteczko stało się popularną miejscowością letniskową, zwłaszcza dla przybyszów z Warszawy. Podczas II wojny światowej, Niemcy utworzyli w Kazimierzu Dolnym getto i obóz pracy przymusowej. W 1944 r. podczas walk sowiecko-niemieckich, miasto zostało zniszczone. Po wojnie, dzięki staraniom m.in. Karola Sicińskiego, szybko rozpoczęto odbudowę i rekonstrukcję poszczególnych obiektów. Obecnie Kazimierz jest jedną z największych atrakcji turystycznych Lubelszczyzny (powiat puławski), jako jedyny w swoim rodzaju zespół urbanistyczno-krajobrazowy łączący walory architektoniczne z malowniczym położeniem. W 1994r. miastu został przyznany status Pomnik Historii.

Iceland 2016
La cascata Seljalandsfoss,una delle più belle cascate dell'Islanda sud occidentale.
Seljalandsfoss è una splendida cascata visibile anche dalla strada principale, ed è facilmente accessibile. L'acqua salta da una scarpata rocciosa e si tuffa in un piccolo laghetto. Si può anche passare dietro il getto della cascata camminando lungo un sentiero che passa vicino la roccia.

Seljalandsfoss is a beautiful waterfall visible from the main road, and is easily accessible. Water jumps from a rocky escarpment and dives in a small pond. You can also go behind the spray of the waterfall walking along a trail passing by the rock.

Shell ginger has pendulous flower spikes that emerge from the ends of the canes in spring and early summer. The foliage is an attractive dark, glossy green and is fragrant when brushed against or rubbed. The dried leaves make an excellent addition to potpourri.
Native to eastern Asia, this plant is a rhizomatous, evergreen tropical perennial that grows in upright clumps 8 to 10 ft (2.4 to 3.0 m) tall in tropical climates. It bears funnel-formed flowers. Flowers have white or pink perianths with yellow labella with red spots and stripes. There are three stamens, but only one has pollen. There is one pistil. The fruit is globose with many striations. In more typical conditions, it reaches 4 to 8 ft (1.2 to 2.4 m) feet tall in the green house, and 3 to 4 ft (0.91 to 1.22 m) feet tall, as a house plant.
It was originally called Alpinia speciosa, which was also the scientific name of torch ginger. To avoid the confusion, it was renamed as A. zerumbet while torch ginger was reclassified in the genus Etlingera.
In Japanese it is known as gettō' (ゲットウ). In Okinawan, it is known as sannin. In Chinese, it is known as yàn shānjiāng (艳山姜) or yuetao (月桃).

The volcano Etna, in recent days has shown an intense eruptive activity, even with intense phenomena called "lava fountains", continuous jet emissions persisted intensely for many minutes, of very high "fountains" of incandescent magma, very spectacular and uncommon, in particular, which took place on 23-02 at night, it reached exceptional dimensions and heights; I photographed that spectacular eruptions using a telephoto lens, from Taormina; I photographed Jakub Rizman, an excellent harp player, who spread sweet notes throughout the main square of Taormina, creating a fairytale atmosphere (on YouTube I found some musical performances of him);

sono queste solo alcune storie fotografiche minime, raccolte camminando per la strada ... alla ricerca di attimi fugaci s-fuggenti ...

il vulcano Etna, nei giorni scorsi ha mostrato una intensa attività eruttiva, anche con intensi fenomeni chiamati "fontane di lava", emissioni a getto continuo perdurate intensamente per molti minuti, di altissime "fontane" di magma incandescente, molto spettacolari e non comuni, una in particolare, avvenuta il 23-02 di notte, ha raggiunto dimensioni e altezze eccezionali; ho fotografato da Taormina quelle spettacolari eruzioni, usando un teleobiettivo; ho fotografato Jakub Rizman, un eccellente suonatore d'arpa, che ha diffuso dolcissime note per tutta la piazza principale di Taormina, creando un'atmosfera da favola (su YouTube ho trovato alcune sue esibizioni musicali);
sono queste solo alcune storie fotografiche minime, raccolte camminando per la strada ... alla ricerca di attimi fugaci s-fuggenti ...
Ho utilizzato per alcune fotografie una tecnica fotografica particolare al momento dello scatto, che oltre a catturare lo spazio circostante, ha "inserito" anche una dimensione temporale, con foto caratterizzate dall’essere mosse poiché volutamente sono stati allungati i tempi di esposizione, sono confuse-sfocate-imprecise-indecise...il termine anglosassone che racchiude con una sola parola questo genere fotografico è "blur", queste immagini sono state così realizzate in fase di scatto, e non come un effetto creato successivamente, a posteriori, in fase di post-produzione.
FIORI DI ZUCCA IN PASTELLA
Ingredienti per 4 persone:20 fiori di zucca, 10 foglie di basilico, 1 mozzarella, sale, olio di semi di arachide, pezzetti di grana padano q.b., 5 filetti di acciughe sott’olio.
Per la pastella: farina 00 q.b., acqua minerale naturale ghiacciata q.b., sale.
Pulite i fiori di zucca eliminando delicatamente il pistillo centrale: mi raccomando dovrete lasciare intatto il fiore!. Lavateli sotto il getto di acqua corrente e lasciateli asciugare su un panno. Nel frattempo preparate il ripieno: tagliate la mozzarella a cubetti, e sgocciolate le alici, tagliate anche il grana in piccoli pezzi; infine sciacquate ed asciugate le foglie di basilico. Quando i fiori di zucca saranno asciutti, procedete con la farcitura. Dovrete farcirne solo 10, mentre gli altri lasciateli senza farcia. Per ogni fiore inserite qualche pezzetto di mozzarella, mezza alice, una foglia di basilico e qualche pezzetto di grana. Chiudete i petali e arrotolateli leggermente su loro stessi. Mettete da parte. Poi preparate la pastella: mettete qualche cucchiaio di farina in una ciotola e versate lentamente dell’acqua fredda: dovrete ottenere una pastella liscia, quindi senza grumi e non eccessivamente densa. Immergete sia i fiori di zucca ripieni che quelli non farciti, uno per volta, nella pastella e poi friggeteli in olio bollente (170°-175°) fino a doratura. I fiori dovranno risultare croccanti e non unti.
FRIED STUFFED ZUCCHINI BLOSSOMS
Makes: 4 serving
Total time: 30 minutes
Ingredients: 20 courgette flowers, 10 leaves of basil, 1 mozzarella cheese, salt, peanut oil, some pieces of grana padano cheese, 5 anchovy fillets in oil.
For the batter: a cup of 00 flour to taste,1/2 cup of mineral water ice to taste, a pinch of salt. You have to obtain a smooth and not too thick batter.
Preparation:
Clean the pumpkin flowers gently removing the central pistil. You have to leave intact the flower! Wash them under fresh water and let them dry on a cloth. Meanwhile, prepare the filling: Cut the mozzarella into cubes, drained anchovies fillets, also cut the grana padano cheese into small pieces; finally, rinse and dry the basil leaves. When the pumpink flowers will be dry,you will prepare the stuffing. You have to fill 10 flowers, while can leave other flowers without filling. Fill every flower with some pieces of mozzarella, half anchovy, a basil leaf and some pieces of grana padano cheese. Close petals and roll slightly on themselves. Set aside. Then prepare the batter: put a few tablespoons of flour into a bowl , slowly pour cold water and add the salt: you'll have to get a smooth batter,there must be no lumps and it must not be too thick. . Dip all zucchini flowers (stuffed and empty), one at a time, into the batter and then fry them in hot oil (170 °C -175 °C) until they will be golden brown. Drain them on paper towels, then salt. The flowers must be crunchy and not greasy.

I made photos related to "street photography";
I photographed people who, for the most part, I had never met before, performing their portraits, I thank them for their sympathy and availability;
The volcano Etna, in recent days has shown an intense eruptive activity, even with intense phenomena called "lava fountains", continuous jet emissions persisted intensely for many minutes, of very high "fountains" of incandescent magma, very spectacular and uncommon, in particular, which took place on 23-02 at night, it reached exceptional dimensions and heights; I photographed that spectacular eruptions using a telephoto lens, from Taormina; I photographed Jakub Rizman, an excellent harp player, who spread sweet notes throughout the main square of Taormina, creating a fairytale atmosphere (on YouTube I found some musical performances of him);

ho realizzato foto riconducibili alla “street photography”;
ho fotografato persone che, per la maggior parte, non avevo incontrato prima, eseguendo dei loro ritratti, le ringrazio per la loro simpatia e disponibilità;

Il mandorlo in fiore con l'effetto di allegria che ci dà , rimane però per poco, ma è un trionfo di fiori bellissimi e profumati.
Si sente la mancanza del suo trionfo, ma la Natura deve fare il suo corso.
Però non ci delude mai, ci dona sempre "trionfi", perchè così si possono chiamare: la tanta bellezza è per noi , per osservarla, per vedere che siamo circondati dalla bellezza che trionfa.
Ci fa anche riflettere: pensiamo ... si pensiamo che il bene trionfa sul male !
La Natura ci parla, ci dice: non abbiate nessun timore, guardatevi attorno e pensate al bello e al bene !
(mie riflessioni scritte "di getto" ... oggi ).

The almond tree in bloom with the effect of joy that it gives to us, however, remains for a while, but it's a triumph of beautiful and fragrant flowers.
We feel the lack of his triumph, but Nature must take its course.
But it never disappoints, there always gives "triumphs", because you can call it: the beauty is so much for us to observe, to see that we are surrounded by the beauty that is victorious.
We are also thinking: we think ... you think that good triumphs over the bad!

Regno Unito, Northumberland, Bamburgh Castle, Inverno 2017
Il castello di Bamburgh si trova a Bamburgh, sulle coste del Northumberland, in Inghilterra. La posizione era probibilmente la sede di un precedente forte dei Britanni. I Normanni costruirono un nuovo castello sul sito, che costituisce il nucleo di quella attuale. Nel 1464 durante la Guerra delle Rose, è diventato il primo castello in Inghilterra per essere sconfitto dall’artiglieria. Il castello è stato utilizzato come location cinematografica dagli anni ‘20, in film come Ivanhoe (1982), El Cid (1961), Maria Stuarda (1971), Elizabeth (1998) e per gli adattamenti del Macbeth del 1971 e 2015.
C'è un famoso racconto qui, la signora in rosa del castello di Bamburgh. Questa era una principessa della Northumbria e si innamorò di un ragazzo, che suo padre disapprovava a tal punto da spedirlo all'estero per sette anni.
La ragazza era sempre più disperata per questa lontananza e suo padre, in un ultimo tentativo di risolvere il problema, le disse che le sue spie avevano scoperto che il ragazzo si era sposato, mentre di stanza all'estero. Per tirarle su il morale dopo questa notizia fece confezionare alla sarta del castello un abito in colore preferito della ragazza; rosa. La ragazza vestita nella sua nuova veste, salì allora sulla parte più alta del merli del castello e si gettò giù sulle rocce sottostanti. Poco dopo il ragazzo tornò dall'estero, celibe, naturalmente. Ogni sette anni, si suppone che lo spettro, nel suo bel vestito rosa vaghi per le parti più antiche del castello, prima di scivolare lungo il sentiero roccioso fino alla spiaggia, dove si guarda tristemente verso il mare, in attesa del ritorno del suo amore perduto.
Bamburgh Castle is located on the coast at Bamburgh, Northumberland, England. The location was previously home to a fort of the native Britons
The Normans built a new castle on the site, which forms the core of the present one. In 1464 during the Wars of the Roses, it became the first castle in England to be defeated by artillery. The castle has been used as a film location since the 1920s, featuring in films such as Ivanhoe (1982), El Cid (1961), Mary, Queen of Scots (1971), Elizabeth (1998) and both the 1971 and 2015 adaptions of Macbeth.
There is a famous tale here, the Pink Lady of Bamburgh Castle. She was a Northumbrian princess and she fell in love with a boy, whom her father disapproved of so sent him overseas for seven years.
The girl became more and more downhearted at this separation and in a final attempt to resolve the issue, her father told her that his spies had discovered that the boy had married someone else whilst stationed abroad and that, to cheer her up after this news, the castle seamstress would fashion a dress in the girl’s favourite colour; pink. The girl dressed in her new garment, climbed to the highest part of the castle’s battlements and flung herself down onto the rocks below.
A little while later the boy returned from his station abroad. Unmarried, of course.
Every seven years the process, in her beautiful pink gown is supposed to wander the oldest parts of the castle, before gliding down the rocky path to the beach, where she mournfully gazes out to sea. Awaiting the return of her lost love.
Vento di marzo , vento di primavera, spinge le nuvole nel cielo blu / azzurro creando un'atmosfera di colori primaverili .
Nei campi sta crescendo il verde delle coltivazioni.
E questa atmosfera è un tutt'uno fra cielo e terra.
In questa infinita pianura dove tutto è immenso, dove tutto sembra non avere orizzonte.
Lo sguardo si perde in questa immensità e nei suoi colori.
Un'atmosfera che ci infonde allegria ma allo stesso tempo una sottile tristezza , e non si sa per cosa si potrebbe essere tristi.
Ma è una tristezza ricercata come una solitudine ricercata, per ritrovarsi con sè stessi !

March wind, spring wind pushes the clouds in the blue /light blue sky, creating an atmosphere of spring colors.

Dolomiti - I laghi dei Piani.
... da subito questa foto dei laghi dei Piani (realizzata con l'unione di 6 scatti effettuati alle spalle del rifugio Locatelli) ha richiamato alla mia mente un pezzo dei Genesis che ho amato tantissimo ... e, con questo brano, il mito della Ninfa Salmacis e di Ermafrodito, rielaborato da Ovidio ...
Ovid's account relates that Hermaphroditus was nursed by naiads in the caves of Mount Ida a sacred mountain in Phrygia (present day Turkey). At the age of fifteen, he grew bored with his surroundings and traveled to the cities of Lycia andCaria. It was in the woods of Caria, near Halicarnassus (modern Bodrum, Turkey) that he encountered the nymph, Salmacis, in her pool. She was overcome by lust for the boy, who was very handsome but still young, and tried to seduce him, but was rejected. When he thought her to be gone, Hermaphroditus undressed and entered the waters of the empty pool. Salmacis sprang out from behind a tree and jumped into the pool. She wrapped herself around the boy, forcibly kissing him and touching his breast. While he struggled, she called out to the gods that they should never part. Her wish was granted, and their bodies blended into one form, "a creature of both sexes". Hermaphroditus prayed to Hermes and Aphrodite that anyone else who bathed in the pool would be similarly transformed, and his wish was granted.
Ermafrodito (in greco antico: Ἑρμαφρόδιτος), era il figlio nato dalla relazione segreta tra Ermes e Afrodite.
Il giovane, da neonato, era stato allattato dalle Naiadi nelle grotte del Monte Ida, una montagna sacra situata nella regione della Frigia, in Asia Minore.
All'età di quindici anni cominciò la sua esplorazione del mondo e fu proprio nel corso di essa che arrivò in Caria, sulle rive di un grande lago.
Qui, in un boschetto, nei pressi di Alicarnasso, lo vide la giovane ninfa Salmacis la quale si innamorò perdutamente di lui.
In preda alla passione Salmacis cercò di sedurre il giovanetto, ma da questi fu respinta.
Salmacis allora si nascose e quando Ermafrodito si spogliò ed entrò nelle acque del lago per dissetarsi si gettò su di lui, abbracciandolo.
Mentre il giovane si dibatteva, lei chiese agli dei di potersi unire per sempre al suo amato e di non esserne mai separata.
Il suo desiderio venne accolto e i due divennero un essere solo, i loro corpi si fusero in una singolare creatura di entrambi i sessi, metà maschio e metà femmina.
Ermafrodito, prima di sparire sul fondo del lago, maledisse Salmacis, chiedendo, per coloro che si fossero bagnati nelle acque del lago, il suo stesso destino.

I asked Rosaria which was the best day of her life. She immediately replied: "February 14th", Valentine's Day. On that day she celebrated the sixsteenth year together with Giacomo. Sixteen years toghether, homeless, in the streets of Milan.
Their everyday objects: cigarettes, free newspapers, plastic cups, coffee, old blankets, dirty clothes, cardboard boxed wine, a cold meal, a broken phone, plastic rings, a broken watch , a bag with backup dresses, two passes to get to the soup kitchen, a small radio.

Tutte le foto che presento sono state realizzate nella cittadina di Taormina;
ho realizzato foto riconducibili alla “street photography”;
ho fotografato persone che, per la maggior parte, non avevo incontrato prima, eseguendo dei loro ritratti, le ringrazio per la loro simpatia e disponibilità;
il vulcano Etna, nei giorni scorsi ha mostrato una intensa attività eruttiva, anche con intensi fenomeni chiamati "fontane di lava", emissioni a getto continuo perdurate intensamente per molti minuti, di altissime "fontane" di magma incandescente, molto spettacolari e non comuni, le fotografie dell'Etna sono state realizzate da Taormina;
ho provato a cogliere storie fotografiche minime, raccolte camminando per la strada ... alla ricerca di attimi fugaci s-fuggenti ...
Ho utilizzato per alcune fotografie una tecnica fotografica particolare al momento dello scatto, che oltre a catturare lo spazio circostante, ha "inserito" anche una dimensione temporale, con foto caratterizzate dall’essere mosse poiché volutamente sono stati allungati i tempi di esposizione, sono confuse-sfocate-imprecise-indecise...il termine anglosassone che racchiude con una sola parola questo genere fotografico è "blur", queste immagini sono state così realizzate in fase di scatto, e non come un effetto creato successivamente, a posteriori, in fase di post-produzione.

Kazimierz Dolny is a small town in Poland, on the right bank of the Vistula river. It is a considerable tourist attraction as one of the most beautifully situated little towns in Poland. The history of Kazimierz Dolny dates back to the 11th century, when on one of the local hills there was a Benedictine settlement called Wietrzna Gora. In 1181, Prince Casimir II the Just handed the settlement to Norbertine nuns from Kraków’s district of Zwierzyniec. The nuns changed its name to Kazimierz, in honor of the prince. The foundation of the town is attributed to Władysław's son, King Casimir III the Great, who granted the town rights in the first half of the 14th century. Later, King Władysław II Jagiełło modernized Kazimierz Dolny, creating a modern town, with a market square and streets. At that time, the decision was taken not to build any houses on the northern side of the market square, so as not to obstruct the view of the church and the castle. It enjoyed its greatest prosperity in the 16th and the first half of the 17th century, due to the trade in grain conducted along the Vistula. It became an economic backwater after that trade declined, and this freeze in economic development enabled the town to preserve its Renaissance urban plan and appearance. The town's golden age ended in February 1656, when Swedish troops under King Charles X Gustav burned and ransacked it. The number of inhabitants declined, and King John III Sobieski tried to improve the situation, by allowing in 1677 Armenian, Greek and Jewish merchants to settle there. Meanwhile, the profitable Vistula river trade came to an end, as there was no demand for Polish grains in Western Europe. Since the 19th century it has become a popular holiday destination, attracting artists and summer residents.During World War II, the Germans established a ghetto and a forced labor camp in Kazimierz Dolny. In 1944, during the Soviet-German fights, the city was destroyed. After the war, the city was quickly rebuilt and reconstructed. Now Kazimierz is one of the greatest tourist attractions of the Lublin region, as a unique urban and landscape complex combining architectural values with a picturesque location. Many painters retreat to this small town to paint and sell their work. Galleries can be found in almost every street, offering for sale sculptures, stained-glass, folk art, and fine art. The town is one of Poland's official national Historic Monuments, as designated September 16, 1994.

Kazimierz Dolny – miasto w Polsce w województwie lubelskim, w powiecie puławskim, nad Wisłą. Nazwa miasta pochodzi prawdopodobnie od imienia księcia Kazimierza II Sprawiedliwego, który w 1181 r. nadał tutejsze ziemie klasztorowi Norbertanek z krakowskiego Zwierzyńca. Za panowania Władysława Łokietka, wzniesiono tu zachowaną do dziś kamienną wieżę obronną, będącą elementem wcześniejszej warowni pełniącej rolę strażnicy przy szlaku handlowym. Największe zasługi dla rozwoju miasta położył król Kazimierz III Wielki, przekształcając osadę podgrodową w miasto królewskie, lokowane na prawie polskim, budując tu m.in. zamek, fundując kościół parafialny oraz nadając herb z literą „K” umieszczoną pod koroną królewską. Również za panowania Kazimierza Wielkiego, u podnóża wzniesienia na którym zbudowano zamek i farę, wytyczono niewielki rynek. W 1406 r. miasto otrzymało od Władysława II Jagiełły prawo magdeburskie. Duże znaczenie miało także położenie na przecięciu szlaku wiślanego z traktem handlowym. Wraz z rozwojem handlu, kwitło także rzemiosło. Od połowy XVII w. wraz z nastaniem okresu wojen miasto zaczęło chylić się ku upadkowi. Już w 1655 r. zostało zniszczone przez wojska szwedzkie. W 1771 r., próbując ratować miasto król Stanisław August zrównał miejscowych Żydów w prawach z innymi obywatelami. Pozwolił im na zakup gruntów oraz wznoszenie domów na terenie całego miasta, a także na swobodny handel. Przyczyniło się to do ożywania gospodarczego miasta w drugiej połowie XVIII wieku. W 1866 r. wielki pożar zniszczył miasto, które ponownie podupadło gospodarczo. Odmianę losu Kazimierza przyniosło „odkrycie” go przez artystów i miłośników historii badających dawne dzieje Polski, inwentaryzujących i utrwalających wizerunki istniejących obiektów architektury i sztuki. Na przełomie XIX i XX w. miasteczko stało się popularną miejscowością letniskową, zwłaszcza dla przybyszów z Warszawy. Podczas II wojny światowej, Niemcy utworzyli w Kazimierzu Dolnym getto i obóz pracy przymusowej. W 1944 r. podczas walk sowiecko-niemieckich, miasto zostało zniszczone. Po wojnie, dzięki staraniom m.in. Karola Sicińskiego, szybko rozpoczęto odbudowę i rekonstrukcję poszczególnych obiektów. Obecnie Kazimierz jest jedną z największych atrakcji turystycznych Lubelszczyzny (powiat puławski), jako jedyny w swoim rodzaju zespół urbanistyczno-krajobrazowy łączący walory architektoniczne z malowniczym położeniem. W 1994r. miastu został przyznany status Pomnik Historii.
Quartiere Coppedè - Fontana delle Rane.
Su un progetto risalente al 1915, l'architetto Gino Coppedè realizzò, tra il 1921 e il 1927, anno della sua morte, un'area “residenziale” all'interno del quartiere Trieste.
Si trattava di un gruppo di palazzi e palazzine concepiti in uno stile assolutamente originale, che mischiava elementi architettonici medievali, rinascimentali, barocchi e Art Nouveau, con richiami anche al classicismo greco, costruiti intorno ad un nucleo centrale costituito da piazza Mincio.
Al centro della piazza non poteva mancare una fontana ornamentale, di fattura molto elaborata, che lo stesso architetto disegnò e realizzò, nel 1924, in stile perfettamente neobarocco.
In una vasca esterna circolare posta su un gradino anch'esso circolare è inserita una piattaforma quadrilobata; su ogni lobo una vasca dalla forma di conchiglia molto decorata è sostenuta sulle spalle da due figure umane poste l'una di schiena all'altra, dalle cui bocche esce l'acqua contenuta nella conchiglia, che viene a sua volta riempita dal doppio getto emesso dalla bocca di una grossa rana; tra le basi delle due figure una seconda vasca, un po' più sporgente e meno elaborata di quella superiore.
I gruppi circondano un balaustro corto e tozzo, che sostiene il catino sommitale, sul cui bordo sono accovacciate otto piccole rane, mentre sulla parte inferiore sono posizionati quattro mascheroni.
Il catino è alimentato da uno zampillo centrale e dai getti che le otto rane indirizzano verso il centro.
L'intera composizione ricorda molto la Fontana delle Tartarughe, di piazza Mattei, a cui sembra voler rendere omaggio, più che costituire un'imitazione.
Come anche le conchiglie e la presenza di una grossa ape sul bordo della vasca quadrilobata sono unanimemente riconosciute come un omaggio alle fontane del Bernini. (Wikipedia)
Coppedè district - Fountain of the Frogs.
On a project dating back to 1915, between 1921 and 1927, the year of his death, the architect Gino Coppedè built a “residential” area in the Trieste district.
It was a group of palaces and buildings conceived in an absolutely original style, which mixed medieval, Renaissance, Baroque and Art Nouveau architectural elements, with references also to Greek classicism, built around a central nucleus consisting of Piazza Mincio.
In the center of the square, a very elaborate ornamental fountain could not be missing, which the same architect designed and built in 1924, in a perfectly neo-baroque style.
A quadrilobate platform is inserted in an external circular basin placed on a step which is also circular; on each lobe a highly decorated shell-shaped basin is supported on the shoulders by two human figures placed one back to the other, from whose mouths the water contained in the shell comes out, which is in turn filled by the double jet emitted from the mouth of a large frog; between the bases of the two figures a second basin, a little more protruding and less elaborate than the upper one.
The groups surround a short and squat baluster, which supports the summit basin, on the edge of which eight small frogs are crouched, while four masks are positioned on the lower part.
The basin is fed by a central jet and by the jets that the eight frogs direct towards the centre.
The whole composition is very reminiscent of the Fontana delle Tartarughe, in Piazza Mattei, to which it seems to want to pay homage, rather than constitute an imitation.
Likewise, the shells and the presence of a large bee on the edge of the quatrefoil basin are unanimously recognized as a tribute to Bernini's fountains. (Wikipedia)

The volcano Etna, in recent days has shown an intense eruptive activity, even with intense phenomena called "lava fountains", continuous jet emissions persisted intensely for many minutes, of very high "fountains" of incandescent magma, very spectacular and uncommon, in particular, which took place on 23-02 at night, it reached exceptional dimensions and heights; I photographed that spectacular eruptions using a telephoto lens, from Taormina; I photographed Jakub Rizman, an excellent harp player, who spread sweet notes throughout the main square of Taormina, creating a fairytale atmosphere (on YouTube I found some musical performances of him);
these are just a few minimal photographic stories, collected walking down the street ... in search of fleeting moments ...
For some photographs I used a particular photographic technique at the time of shooting, which in addition to capturing the surrounding space, also "inserted" a temporal dimension, with photos characterized by being moved because the exposure times were deliberately lengthened, they are confused -focused-imprecise-undecided ... the Anglo-Saxon term that encloses this photographic genre with a single word is "blur", these images were thus created during the shooting phase, and not as an effect created subsequently, in retrospect, in the post-production.

C'è sempre un pò di vanità in Giacomo.
Il suo passato di musicista spesso viene fuori dalle sue pose..simpatiche e provocatorie.
Giacomo è attualmente ricoverato presso un nosocomio della provincia.
Non vede Rosaria da qualche mese. Telefonicamente dice di sentirsi benissimo anche se gli mancano le sigarette.
Ho chiesto a Rosaria quale fosse stato il più bel giorno della sua vita.
Lei ha risposto, di getto, il 14 febbraio 2011, San Valentino: festeggiava con Giacomo il sedicesimo anno di convivenza.
Insieme da 16 anni, per strada, a Milano.
I asked Rosaria which was the best day of her life. She immediately replied: "February 14th", Valentine's Day. On that day she celebrated the sixsteenth year together with Giacomo. Sixteen years toghether, homeless, in the streets of Milan.
Their everyday objects: cigarettes, free newspapers, plastic cups, coffee, old blankets, dirty clothes, cardboard boxed wine, a cold meal, a broken phone, plastic rings, a broken watch , a bag with backup dresses, two passes to get to the soup kitchen, a small radio.
Esattamente due ore fà il cielo era così, e lo avevo previsto da come è andata la giornata, perchè c'erano nuvole, e succede che di solito dopo una perturbazione, il cielo ci presenta un tramonto particolare.
Quindi cosa ho fatto? Sono uscita almeno una mezz'ora prima dell'ora del tramonto ... e ho aspettato, non ci si stanca ad aspettare un tramonto !
Ne ho scattate di foto, potrei farne una serie anche di questo tramonto, ma ho scelto questa, la quale è stata verso la fine dell'evolvere del tramonto.
C'era quel venticello freddo, le mani si stavano ghiacciando quasi come quando nevicava. Ma questa volta ero in macchina, quindi ho aspettato anche stando dentro in macchina al caldo.
Ma quando il cielo si stava trasformando, ero pronta per cominciare a scattare, e succede sempre che in quel contesto le mani si riscaldano ... potere del tramonto, dell'ispirazione che dà, dell'avere fatto in tempo a riprenderlo !
... volevo trovare una citazione sul tramonto, ma improvvisamente ho avuto questa sensazione, una mia sensazione o citazione :
"Tramonto dopo una nevicata autunnale,
non certo succede spesso,
però quando succede,
ci lascia un certo che di incompreso,
o forse compreso anche troppo ..
una cosa è sicura: osserviamo di più il cielo "

Exactly two hours ago the sky was like this, and I had predicted it by how the day went, because there were clouds, and it happens that usually after a weather disturbance, the sky has a particular sunset.
So what did I do? I left at least half an hour before the sunset ... and I waited, do not get tired of waiting for a sunset!
I took photos, I could make a series of this sunset, but I chose this, which was toward the end of the sunset.
There was that cold breeze, my hands were almost icing the same as when it was snowing. But this time I was in the car, so I waited even while staying in the car in the heat.
But when the sky was changing, I was ready to start shooting, and it always happens that in that context the hands warm up ... the power of the sunset, the inspiration it gives, in being there in time !
... I wanted to find a quote on sunset, but suddenly I had this feeling, my feeling or quote:

Caravaggio (Michelangelo Merisi - Milan 1571 - Porto Ercole 1610)
Judith and Holofernes (1599 circa) - dimensions 145 x 195 cm - National Gallery of Ancient Art, Palazzo Barberini, Rome
Tre personaggi e un drappo rosso sullo sfondo: pochi elementi, in grado di orchestrare un vero e proprio teatro dei contrari. Buio e luce, vecchiaia e giovinezza, vita e morte, forza e fragilità.
Giuditta è un’eroina del Vecchio Testamento, una giovane vedova ebrea che salva il suo popolo dall’assedio dell’esercito assiro. Finge di volersi alleare con il nemico e uccide con le proprie mani il generale Oloferne, dopo essere stata accolta nell’accampamento con un fastoso banchetto.
Fin dal ‘400 è un’iconografia frequente, ma non era mai stata rappresentata con tale cruenta spettacolarità.
Qui la scimitarra è in pieno affondo, c’è energia nelle mani e negli arti contratti di Oloferne, ma ancora per poco. La bocca del generale è spalancata in un grido che sta per spegnersi, il fiotto di sangue non ha ancora esaurito il suo getto, come se Caravaggio avesse voluto bloccare gli istanti fulminei di un’azione, difficili da fermare con lo sguardo. La fonte di luce è collocata in alto a sinistra e investe per intero l’esile figura di Giuditta, con la fronte aggrottata, nello sforzo di richiamare a sé tutte le forze, fisiche e spirituali, per un gesto che compie suo malgrado. L’ancella Abra, che nel racconto originale è una giovane donna, diventa una vecchia dal volto rugoso e dagli occhi allucinati, spia dell’orrore che l’osservatore prova di fronte a una tale violenza. La tela, datata al 1599 circa, è importante da un punto di vista stilistico e tematico: è il primo vero quadro di storia di Caravaggio e inaugura la fase dei forti contrasti tra luce e ombra. Venne commissionato dal banchiere Ottavio Costa, che vi era affezionato a tal punto da pretendere nel proprio testamento la sua inalienabilità. Del dipinto, però, si persero le tracce per secoli, e venne ritrovato solo nel 1951 dal restauratore Pico Cellini, quasi per caso, presso la famiglia che ne era in possesso, e segnalato al critico Roberto Longhi. Un coup de théâtre in piena regola, consono alla teatralità del quadro. Venti anni dopo venne acquistato dallo Stato ed esposto a Palazzo Barberini.

Judith is one of the heroines of the Old Testament, a young Jewish widow who saved her people from the besieging Assyrian army. She pretended to ally herself with the enemy and slew their general Holofernes with her own hands, after being welcomed to his camp with a festive banquet.
The iconography had been common since the 1400s, yet it had never been depicted with such harsh and spectacular realism.
Here we see scimitar plunged deep into Holofernes’ throat. Life is still coursing through Holofernes’ contracted hands and limbs, though not for much longer. The general’s mouth gapes in a strangled cry, and we see the spurting blood, as if Caravaggio wished to freeze the flashing instants of an act that cannot be halted with the gaze. The light falls from the top left, striking Judith’s slender figure in full: her forehead is furrowed, as if seeking to summon all her strength, both physical and spiritual, to overcome her revulsion at the act she feels compelled to perform. Her maidservant Abra, a young woman in the original story, is here a wrinkled old woman with hallucinated eyes, bearing witness to the horror that the viewer feels before such violence. The painting, dated to around 1599, is important stylistically and thematically: it is Caravaggio’s first historical work, and marks the beginning of the phase of strongly contrasting light and darkness. The work was commissioned by Ottavio Costa, a banker, who was so enamored of it that he stipulated its inalienability in his will. However, all trace of the painting was lost for several centuries and it was only found in 1951 by the restorer Pico Cellini, almost by chance, in the possession of a family and reported to the art critic Roberto Longhi – a dramatic turn of events highly appropriate to the theatrical nature of the painting. Twenty years later it was acquired by the Italian state and exhibited in Palazzo Barberini.
