"Una mirabile opera di ingegneria medievale che nasconde un'inquietante leggenda.“
Fu Matilde di Canossa, feudataria illuminata e protagonista del Medioevo italiano, a ordinarne la costruzione nel corso dell'anno 1000: un ponte sul fiume Serchio, precisamente nella località di Borgo a Mozzano, che consentisse a viandanti e pellegrini di raggiungere la vicina Lucca e ricongiungersi alla Via Francigena che li avrebbe condotti fino a Roma.
Lungo oltre 90 metri, questa suggestiva opera presenta la classica struttura “a schiena d'asino”, che le arcate asimmetriche rendono unica al mondo: il suo arco maggiore, in posizione centrale, raggiunge infatti un'altezza che supera i 18 metri. Una forma convessa, quasi a cuspide, che lo rende un capolavoro d'ingegneria perfettamente conservato.
Nel 1836 il ponte subì gravi danni a causa di una piena del fiume, mentre nei primi anni del 1900 venne aperto un nuovo arco sulla parte destra per consentire il passaggio del treno. Miracolosamente sopravvissuto alla ferocia dei nazisti, che in vista di abbandonare le fortificazioni della Linea Gotica lo avevano minato, il ponte si offre ancora oggi allo sguardo dei visitatori in tutta la sua maestosità. L'arcata centrale sporge acutissima (ricordando appunto il dorso di un asino), formando una parabola talmente alta che la sua struttura sembra sfidare la legge di gravità. Non è un caso dunque che alla sua costruzione sia legata ad una inquietante leggenda.
Il capomastro incaricato di realizzare l'opera si rese conto che non sarebbe mai riuscito a finirla entro i tempi previsti. Mentre sedeva in preda alla disperazione sulle sponde del Serchio, apparve al suo cospetto il diavolo che, come era solito fare, gli propose di stringere un patto: il maligno avrebbe terminato la costruzione del ponte in una sola notte, ma in cambio avrebbe preso l'anima della prima persona che lo avrebbe attraversato. L'uomo accettò lo scambio e il diavolo mantenne la promessa, costruendo il ponte in una sola notte.
Divorato dai rimorsi, il capomastro decise di chiedere aiuto al prete del paese e insieme escogitarono un astuto piano: rispettare il patto diabolico, facendo però attraversare il ponte ad un maiale. L'inganno riuscì e il maligno, resosi conto della beffa subita, si gettò dal ponte nella acque del fiume Serchio.

"An admirable work of medieval engineering that hides a disturbing legend."
It was Matilde di Canossa, enlightened feudatory and protagonist of the Italian Middle Ages, who ordered its construction during the year 1000: a bridge over the Serchio river, precisely in the town of Borgo a Mozzano, which allowed travelers and pilgrims to reach nearby Lucca and rejoin the Via Francigena which would have led them to Rome.
Over 90 meters long, this striking work presents the classic “donkey back” structure, which the asymmetrical arches make unique in the world: its main arch, in a central position, reaches a height of over 18 meters. A convex shape, almost a cusp, which makes it a perfectly preserved masterpiece of engineering.
In 1836 the bridge suffered serious damage due to a flood in the river, while in the early 1900s a new arch was opened on the right side to allow the passage of the train. Miraculously survived the ferocity of the Nazis, who had undermined it in view of abandoning the fortifications of the Gothic Line, the bridge is still offered today to visitors in all its majesty. The central arch protrudes very sharply (remembering the back of a donkey), forming a parabola so high that its structure seems to defy the law of gravity. It is therefore no coincidence that its construction is linked to a disturbing legend.
The foreman responsible for carrying out the work realized that he would never be able to finish it on time. As he sat in despair on the banks of the Serchio, the devil appeared before him, who, as he used to do, offered to make a pact: the evil one would finish building the bridge in just one night, but in return he would take the soul of the first person who would go through it. The man accepted the exchange and the devil kept his promise, building the bridge in one night.
Devoured by remorse, the master builder decided to ask the village priest for help and together they devised a cunning plan: to respect the diabolical pact, but making a pig cross the bridge. The deception succeeded and the evil one, realizing the insult suffered, threw himself from the bridge into the waters of the river Serchio.

La cascata Seljalandsfoss,una delle più belle cascate dell'Islanda sud occidentale.
Seljalandsfoss è una splendida cascata visibile anche dalla strada principale, ed è facilmente accessibile. L'acqua salta da una scarpata rocciosa e si tuffa in un piccolo laghetto. Si può anche passare dietro il getto della cascata camminando lungo un sentiero che passa vicino la roccia.

I made photos related to "street photography";
I photographed people who, for the most part, I had never met before, performing their portraits, I thank them for their sympathy and availability;
The volcano Etna, in recent days has shown an intense eruptive activity, even with intense phenomena called "lava fountains", continuous jet emissions persisted intensely for many minutes, of very high "fountains" of incandescent magma, very spectacular and uncommon, in particular, which took place on 23-02 at night, it reached exceptional dimensions and heights; I photographed that spectacular eruptions using a telephoto lens, from Taormina; I photographed Jakub Rizman, an excellent harp player, who spread sweet notes throughout the main square of Taormina, creating a fairytale atmosphere (on YouTube I found some musical performances of him);
these are just a few minimal photographic stories, collected walking down the street ... in search of fleeting moments ...
For some photographs I used a particular photographic technique at the time of shooting, which in addition to capturing the surrounding space, also "inserted" a temporal dimension, with photos characterized by being moved because the exposure times were deliberately lengthened, they are confused -focused-imprecise-undecided ... the Anglo-Saxon term that encloses this photographic genre with a single word is "blur", these images were thus created during the shooting phase, and not as an effect created subsequently, in retrospect, in the post-production.

Tutte le foto che presento sono state realizzate nella cittadina di Taormina;
ho realizzato foto riconducibili alla “street photography”;
ho fotografato persone che, per la maggior parte, non avevo incontrato prima, eseguendo dei loro ritratti, le ringrazio per la loro simpatia e disponibilità;
il vulcano Etna, nei giorni scorsi ha mostrato una intensa attività eruttiva, anche con intensi fenomeni chiamati "fontane di lava", emissioni a getto continuo perdurate intensamente per molti minuti, di altissime "fontane" di magma incandescente, molto spettacolari e non comuni, una in particolare, avvenuta il 23-02 di notte, ha raggiunto dimensioni e altezze eccezionali; ho fotografato da Taormina quelle spettacolari eruzioni, usando un teleobiettivo; ho fotografato Jakub Rizman, un eccellente suonatore d'arpa, che ha diffuso dolcissime note per tutta la piazza principale di Taormina, creando un'atmosfera da favola (su YouTube ho trovato alcune sue esibizioni musicali);
sono queste solo alcune storie fotografiche minime, raccolte camminando per la strada ... alla ricerca di attimi fugaci s-fuggenti ...
Ho utilizzato per alcune fotografie una tecnica fotografica particolare al momento dello scatto, che oltre a catturare lo spazio circostante, ha "inserito" anche una dimensione temporale, con foto caratterizzate dall’essere mosse poiché volutamente sono stati allungati i tempi di esposizione, sono confuse-sfocate-imprecise-indecise...il termine anglosassone che racchiude con una sola parola questo genere fotografico è "blur", queste immagini sono state così realizzate in fase di scatto, e non come un effetto creato successivamente, a posteriori, in fase di post-produzione.

Seljalandsfoss è una delle cascate più famose dell’Islanda, situata nella regione meridionale del paese, vicino alla strada ad anello Hringvegur. La cascata ha un’altezza di circa 60 metri e si distingue per la possibilità unica di poter camminare dietro il getto d’acqua, offrendo una vista spettacolare da una prospettiva insolita. Il fiume Seljalandsá, che alimenta la cascata, ha origine nel ghiacciaio vulcanico Eyjafjallajökull.
Seljalandsfoss is one of Iceland’s most famous waterfalls, located in the southern region of the country, near the Ring Road (Hringvegur). The waterfall is approximately 60 meters high and is unique for the opportunity to walk behind the water flow, offering a spectacular view from an unusual perspective. Cascata di Goðafoss - Fiume Skjálfandi
Il nome Goðafoss può essere tradotto, dall'islandese, in "Cascata degli Dei".
Il nome di questa cascata deriva da una leggenda secondo la quale, nell'anno 999 o 1000, il Lögsögumaður (colui che nell'assemblea di governo recitava, con l'aiuto della poesia, tutte le regole, le leggi e le consuetudini) Þorgeir Ljósvetningagoði fece del Cristianesimo la religione ufficiale dell'Islanda.
Dopo questa conversione si dice che, tornando dall'Alþingi (Parlamento nazionale islandese), Þorgeirr gettò le sue statue degli dèi nordici nella cascata.
Goðafoss Waterfall - Skjálfandi River
The name Goðafoss can be translated, from Icelandic, into "Waterfall of the Gods".
The name of this waterfall derives from a legend according to which, in the year 999 or 1000, the Lögsögumaður (the one who in the government assembly recited, with the help of poetry, all the rules, laws and customs) Þorgeir Ljósvetningagoði made Christianity the official religion of Iceland.
After this conversion it is said that, returning from the Alþingi (Icelandic National Parliament), Þorgeirr threw his statues of the Norse gods into the waterfall.

Goðafoss conosciuta come "La Cascata degli Dei", è una delle cascate più spettacolari e famose d'Islanda. Situata nel nord dell'isola, lungo il fiume Skjálfandafljót, Goðafoss è alta circa 12 metri e larga 30 metri. La cascata è formata da una serie di salti d'acqua che si gettano in un'ampia piscina sottostante, creando una vista mozzafiato.
Il nome "Goðafoss" deriva da una leggenda secondo cui, intorno all'anno 1000, l'anziano pagano Þorgeir Ljósvetningagoði, dopo aver accettato il cristianesimo come religione ufficiale dell'Islanda, gettò le statue dei vecchi dei nordici nelle acque della cascata come simbolo di conversione.
Goðafoss, known as "The Waterfall of the Gods," is one of the most spectacular and famous waterfalls in Iceland. Located in the northern part of the island along the Skjálfandafljót River, Goðafoss is approximately 12 meters high and 30 meters wide. The waterfall is formed by a series of water drops that plunge into a wide pool below, creating a breathtaking view.

I made photos related to "street photography";
I photographed people who, for the most part, I had never met before, performing their portraits, I thank them for their sympathy and availability;
The volcano Etna, in recent days has shown an intense eruptive activity, even with intense phenomena called "lava fountains", continuous jet emissions persisted intensely for many minutes, of very high "fountains" of incandescent magma, very spectacular and uncommon, in particular, which took place on 23-02 at night, it reached exceptional dimensions and heights; I photographed that spectacular eruptions using a telephoto lens, from Taormina; I photographed Jakub Rizman, an excellent harp player, who spread sweet notes throughout the main square of Taormina, creating a fairytale atmosphere (on YouTube I found some musical performances of him);
these are just a few minimal photographic stories, collected walking down the street ... in search of fleeting moments ...
For some photographs I used a particular photographic technique at the time of shooting, which in addition to capturing the surrounding space, also "inserted" a temporal dimension, with photos characterized by being moved because the exposure times were deliberately lengthened, they are confused -focused-imprecise-undecided ... the Anglo-Saxon term that encloses this photographic genre with a single word is "blur", these images were thus created during the shooting phase, and not as an effect created subsequently, in retrospect, in the post-production.

ho fotografato persone che, per la maggior parte, non avevo incontrato prima, eseguendo dei loro ritratti, le ringrazio per la loro simpatia e disponibilità;
il vulcano Etna, nei giorni scorsi ha mostrato una intensa attività eruttiva, anche con intensi fenomeni chiamati "fontane di lava", emissioni a getto continuo perdurate intensamente per molti minuti, di altissime "fontane" di magma incandescente, molto spettacolari e non comuni, una in particolare, avvenuta il 23-02 di notte, ha raggiunto dimensioni e altezze eccezionali; ho fotografato da Taormina quelle spettacolari eruzioni, usando un teleobiettivo; ho fotografato Jakub Rizman, un eccellente suonatore d'arpa, che ha diffuso dolcissime note per tutta la piazza principale di Taormina, creando un'atmosfera da favola (su YouTube ho trovato alcune sue esibizioni musicali);
sono queste solo alcune storie fotografiche minime, raccolte camminando per la strada ... alla ricerca di attimi fugaci s-fuggenti ...

Regno Unito, Shropshire, Ludlow, Primavera 2014
Ludlow è una città di mercato nello Shropshire, nel Regno Unito. Il paese si trova vicino alla confluenza dei fiumi Corve e Teme. La parte più antica è la città medievale cinta dalle mura, fondata alla fine dell'XI secolo dopo la conquista normanna dell'Inghilterra. È centrata su una piccola collina che si trova sulla sponda orientale di un'ansa del fiume Teme. Il castello di Ludlow si trova sulla collina. Questa è una fortificazione medievale in rovina e probabilmente uno dei primi castelli in pietra costruiti in Inghilterra. Fu probabilmente fondato intorno al 1075. Il fantasma del castello di Ludlow è di Marion La Bruyere che amava un nemico del signore del castello. Una sera tardi Marion accettò di incontrare il suo cavaliere, per fare questo fece calare una fune dall'alta torre perché lui salisse per incontrarla. Tuttavia, l'amore non era tutto ciò che lui aveva in mente. In una particolare occasione il suo amante lasciò penzolare la corda per permettere a un nemico del proprietario del castello di inviare un piccolo esercito. In breve tempo il castello fu invaso da 100 uomini e Ludlow fu nelle mani dei suoi nemici. Rendendosi conto di esser stata tradita, Marion afferrò la spada del suo amante e gli tagliò la gola. Poi nel dolore e nella vergogna, si gettò da questa torre sulle rocce sottostanti. Si dice che se si visita la torre al tramonto nelle sere tranquille si può vedere il suo fantasma. Se, invece, vai nell'anniversario del suo suicidio, al momento giusto potresti anche sentire le sue urla.
Ludlow is a market town in Shropshire, United Kingdom. The town is near the confluence of the rivers Corve and Teme. The oldest part is the medieval walled town, founded in the late 11th century after the Norman conquest of England. It is centred on a small hill which lies on the eastern bank of a bend of the River Teme. Ludlow Castle is situated on that hill. This is a ruined medieval fortification and probably one of the first stone castles to be built in England. It was probably founded around 1075. The ghost of Ludlow Castle is of Marion La Bruyere who loved an enemy of the castle's lord. Late one evening Marion agreed to meet her knight, to do this she lowered down a rope from the high tower for him to climb up to meet her. However, love was not all that was on his mind. On one particular occasion her lover left the rope dangling to allow an enemy of the castle's owner to send in a small army. Within a short time the castle was invaded by 100 men and Ludlow was in the hands of its enemies. Realising her lover had betrayed her, Marion snatched her lover's sword and cut his throat. Then in grief and shame, she threw herself from this tower onto the rocks below. It is said that If you visit the tower at dusk on quiet evenings her ghost can be seen. If, however, you go on the anniversary of her suicide, at the correct time you may also hear her screams.

I made photos related to "street photography";
I photographed people who, for the most part, I had never met before, performing their portraits, I thank them for their sympathy and availability;
The volcano Etna, in recent days has shown an intense eruptive activity, even with intense phenomena called "lava fountains", continuous jet emissions persisted intensely for many minutes, of very high "fountains" of incandescent magma, very spectacular and uncommon, in particular, which took place on 23-02 at night, it reached exceptional dimensions and heights; I photographed that spectacular eruptions using a telephoto lens, from Taormina; I photographed Jakub Rizman, an excellent harp player, who spread sweet notes throughout the main square of Taormina, creating a fairytale atmosphere (on YouTube I found some musical performances of him);
these are just a few minimal photographic stories, collected walking down the street ... in search of fleeting moments ...
For some photographs I used a particular photographic technique at the time of shooting, which in addition to capturing the surrounding space, also "inserted" a temporal dimension, with photos characterized by being moved because the exposure times were deliberately lengthened, they are confused -focused-imprecise-undecided ... the Anglo-Saxon term that encloses this photographic genre with a single word is "blur", these images were thus created during the shooting phase, and not as an effect created subsequently, in retrospect, in the post-production.

il vulcano Etna, nei giorni scorsi ha mostrato una intensa attività eruttiva, anche con intensi fenomeni chiamati "fontane di lava", emissioni a getto continuo perdurate intensamente per molti minuti, di altissime "fontane" di magma incandescente, molto spettacolari e non comuni, una in particolare, avvenuta il 23-02 di notte, ha raggiunto dimensioni e altezze eccezionali; ho fotografato da Taormina quelle spettacolari eruzioni, usando un teleobiettivo; ho fotografato Jakub Rizman, un eccellente suonatore d'arpa, che ha diffuso dolcissime note per tutta la piazza principale di Taormina, creando un'atmosfera da favola (su YouTube ho trovato alcune sue esibizioni musicali);
sono queste solo alcune storie fotografiche minime, raccolte camminando per la strada ... alla ricerca di attimi fugaci s-fuggenti ...

View from the castle in Sanok on the town and surroundings :)
Sanok is a town in the Subcarpathian Voivodeship of south-eastern Poland, located on the San River, not far from the Bieszczady Mountains and the Bieszczady National Park, which is the most uninhabited region in the country. The first written mention of the town dates back to 1150. Granted a town charter in 1339, Sanok developed to become an important trade centre and home to the offices of the town starosty and the chatelaine. Sanok, which had burgeoned under the Jagiellonian rule, was afflicted by numerous conflagrations and was left in a state of dilapidation following the invasions by the Tatars (1626), Swedes (1655-1660), and the army of Hugarian prince Gyorgy Rakoczi (1657). After the Partition of Poland in 1772 the town fell under Austrian rule and remained so until 1918. In the years of the German occupation during World War II it was home to a ghetto for a thousand or so people; a German prison for around ten thousands prisoners (Poles, Russians, Czechs and Slovaks). An old historic town, Sanok is studded with a plethora of historical buildings. Numbered among the most prominent is the Castle, built in the Gothic style during the reign of King Kazimierz the Great on the site of a former Ruthenian stronghold and later transformed into the Renaissance style in 1523-1548. Equally good is the Orthodox Cathedral-Church of the Holy Trinity, built in the neo-Classical style in 1784. Another attraction of Sanok is its open-air folk museum (skansen), one of the largest and most interesting of Poland.

Sanok – miasto powiatowe w Polsce w województwie podkarpackim, położone w dolinie Sanu, niedaleko Bieszczad i Bieszczadzkiego Parku Narodowego, obszaru, który do dnia dzisiejszego zachował swój dziewiczy charakter. Miasto zostało założone około X/XI wieku, zaś w 1339 książę Jerzy II z rodu Piastów nadał mu przywilej lokacyjny. Sanok stał się siedzibą starostwa i kasztelana oraz ważnym ośrodkiem handlowym. Miasto rozkwitło za panowania dynastii jagiellońskiej, ale już w XVII wieku popadło w ruinę w wyniku najazdu tatarskiego (1626) i szwedzkiego (1655-1660) oraz inwazji wojsk księcia Siedmiogrodu Jerzego II Rakoczego (1657). W wyniku I rozbioru Polski (1772) Sanok wszedł w skład Austrii i pozostał w jej granicach aż do 1918 roku. W czasach II wojny światowej w okupowanym przez Niemców Sanoku znajdowało się getto, więzienie dla 10 000 osób narodowości polskiej, rosyjskiej, czeskiej i słowackiej. Najstarsza część miasta urzeka zabytkową zabudową. Na szczególną uwagę zasługuje gotycki zamek, zbudowany z inicjatywy Kazimierza Wielkiego na miejscu dawnego grodu ruskiego. W latach 1523-1548 zamek przebudowano w stylu renesansowym. Warto zobaczyć również cerkiew Św. Trójcy z 1784 roku, reprezentującą styl neoklasyczny. Kolejną atrakcją sanocką jest jeden z największych skansenów w Polsce.

Regno Unito, Northumberland, Bamburgh Castle, Inverno 2017
Il castello di Bamburgh si trova a Bamburgh, sulle coste del Northumberland, in Inghilterra. La posizione era probibilmente la sede di un precedente forte dei Britanni. I Normanni costruirono un nuovo castello sul sito, che costituisce il nucleo di quella attuale. Nel 1464 durante la Guerra delle Rose, è diventato il primo castello in Inghilterra per essere sconfitto dall’artiglieria. Il castello è stato utilizzato come location cinematografica dagli anni ‘20, in film come Ivanhoe (1982), El Cid (1961), Maria Stuarda (1971), Elizabeth (1998) e per gli adattamenti del Macbeth del 1971 e 2015.
C'è un famoso racconto qui, la signora in rosa del castello di Bamburgh. Questa era una principessa della Northumbria e si innamorò di un ragazzo, che suo padre disapprovava a tal punto da spedirlo all'estero per sette anni.
La ragazza era sempre più disperata per questa lontananza e suo padre, in un ultimo tentativo di risolvere il problema, le disse che le sue spie avevano scoperto che il ragazzo si era sposato, mentre di stanza all'estero. Per tirarle su il morale dopo questa notizia fece confezionare alla sarta del castello un abito in colore preferito della ragazza; rosa. La ragazza vestita nella sua nuova veste, salì allora sulla parte più alta del merli del castello e si gettò giù sulle rocce sottostanti. Poco dopo il ragazzo tornò dall'estero, celibe, naturalmente. Ogni sette anni, si suppone che lo spettro, nel suo bel vestito rosa vaghi per le parti più antiche del castello, prima di scivolare lungo il sentiero roccioso fino alla spiaggia, dove si guarda tristemente verso il mare, in attesa del ritorno del suo amore perduto.
Bamburgh Castle is located on the coast at Bamburgh, Northumberland, England. The location was previously home to a fort of the native Britons
The Normans built a new castle on the site, which forms the core of the present one. In 1464 during the Wars of the Roses, it became the first castle in England to be defeated by artillery. The castle has been used as a film location since the 1920s, featuring in films such as Ivanhoe (1982), El Cid (1961), Mary, Queen of Scots (1971), Elizabeth (1998) and both the 1971 and 2015 adaptions of Macbeth.
There is a famous tale here, the Pink Lady of Bamburgh Castle. She was a Northumbrian princess and she fell in love with a boy, whom her father disapproved of so sent him overseas for seven years.
The girl became more and more downhearted at this separation and in a final attempt to resolve the issue, her father told her that his spies had discovered that the boy had married someone else whilst stationed abroad and that, to cheer her up after this news, the castle seamstress would fashion a dress in the girl’s favourite colour; pink. The girl dressed in her new garment, climbed to the highest part of the castle’s battlements and flung herself down onto the rocks below.
A little while later the boy returned from his station abroad. Unmarried, of course.
Every seven years the process, in her beautiful pink gown is supposed to wander the oldest parts of the castle, before gliding down the rocky path to the beach, where she mournfully gazes out to sea. Awaiting the return of her lost love.

For some photographs I used a particular photographic technique at the time of shooting, which in addition to capturing the surrounding space, also "inserted" a temporal dimension, with photos characterized by being moved because the exposure times were deliberately lengthened, they are confused -focused-imprecise-undecided ... the Anglo-Saxon term that encloses this photographic genre with a single word is "blur", these images were thus created during the shooting phase, and not as an effect created subsequently, in retrospect, in the post-production.

Tutte le foto che presento sono state realizzate nella cittadina di Taormina;
ho realizzato foto riconducibili alla “street photography”;
ho fotografato persone che, per la maggior parte, non avevo incontrato prima, eseguendo dei loro ritratti, le ringrazio per la loro simpatia e disponibilità;
il vulcano Etna, nei giorni scorsi ha mostrato una intensa attività eruttiva, anche con intensi fenomeni chiamati "fontane di lava", emissioni a getto continuo perdurate intensamente per molti minuti, di altissime "fontane" di magma incandescente, molto spettacolari e non comuni, una in particolare, avvenuta il 23-02 di notte, ha raggiunto dimensioni e altezze eccezionali; ho fotografato da Taormina quelle spettacolari eruzioni, usando un teleobiettivo; ho fotografato Jakub Rizman, un eccellente suonatore d'arpa, che ha diffuso dolcissime note per tutta la piazza principale di Taormina, creando un'atmosfera da favola (su YouTube ho trovato alcune sue esibizioni musicali);
sono queste solo alcune storie fotografiche minime, raccolte camminando per la strada ... alla ricerca di attimi fugaci s-fuggenti ...
Ho utilizzato per alcune fotografie una tecnica fotografica particolare al momento dello scatto, che oltre a catturare lo spazio circostante, ha "inserito" anche una dimensione temporale, con foto caratterizzate dall’essere mosse poiché volutamente sono stati allungati i tempi di esposizione, sono confuse-sfocate-imprecise-indecise...il termine anglosassone che racchiude con una sola parola questo genere fotografico è "blur", queste immagini sono state così realizzate in fase di scatto, e non come un effetto creato successivamente, a posteriori, in fase di post-produzione.

All the photos I present were taken in the town of Taormina;
I made photos related to "street photography";
I photographed people who, for the most part, I had never met before, performing their portraits, I thank them for their sympathy and availability;
The volcano Etna, in recent days has shown an intense eruptive activity, even with intense phenomena called "lava fountains", continuous jet emissions persisted intensely for many minutes, of very high "fountains" of incandescent magma, very spectacular and uncommon, in particular, which took place on 23-02 at night, it reached exceptional dimensions and heights; I photographed that spectacular eruptions using a telephoto lens, from Taormina; I photographed Jakub Rizman, an excellent harp player, who spread sweet notes throughout the main square of Taormina, creating a fairytale atmosphere (on YouTube I found some musical performances of him);
these are just a few minimal photographic stories, collected walking down the street ... in search of fleeting moments ...

Iceland 2016
La cascata Seljalandsfoss,una delle più belle cascate dell'Islanda sud occidentale.
Seljalandsfoss è una splendida cascata visibile anche dalla strada principale, ed è facilmente accessibile. L'acqua salta da una scarpata rocciosa e si tuffa in un piccolo laghetto. Si può anche passare dietro il getto della cascata camminando lungo un sentiero che passa vicino la roccia.

Seljalandsfoss is a beautiful waterfall visible from the main road, and is easily accessible. Water jumps from a rocky escarpment and dives in a small pond. You can also go behind the spray of the waterfall walking along a trail passing by the rock.
