On a quick trip to check out some photo spots on the Montana Rail Link we followed a coal train up Bozeman pass to Muir. We figured we would scout a spot to get the helper set running back light.
That didn't happen.
As we turned the corner on Bozeman Hill Road our eyes got big...real big! A pair of eastbound trains with older EMD power were waiting to top the grade.
What luck.
What fun.
What a day.
Every time I break night, I get twisted in the morning.

Norman and his crew getting ready to work repairing the soffits of this sprawling, 92-unit, senior housing complex in Ukiah, called, appropriately, Autumn Leaves. What better time than mid-autumn.
Fun fact: I once applied for subsidized housing at this complex. Eventually, however, I was able to continue renting the house I was living in.

GET MY DRIFT. I only made it outside yesterday to empty the compost and haul wood. The wind was busy rearranging the new snow both burying and revealing last year's sunflower stalks. I managed a few shots out the back window.

Walking around in the museum saw a young man arranging glasses. One hand took the cups out of the box handed to the other put them on the table neatly. His operating was very rhythmic, fast and accurate. With bright color shirt, stylish wrist decoration, obviously he was very joyful. Could not help, without permission, I took this snap.

Getting back to flower photography. Loved the glow of this Gerbera and managed to replicate what I saw.
Two or three times I was about to leave home for my daily walk but had to stop as it began to rain and at one point we had hailstones!! Then it seemed to clear up and off I went for my walk.
The rain began to stop although the wind had certainly got somewhat stronger!!
