Taken across from the Flying J truckstop in Willard Utah. The Wasatch Range is right and out of sight the Great Salt Lake and Willard Bay are about a half mile to the left. A light snow over night left everything white topped.

My sandwich mysteriously disappeared from the picnic table. I asked this guy if I could frisk him and he complied but I think that bulbous stomach and crop is where the truth lies. With that said he is an adorable thief.

I take a lot of photos and not all of them go up up Flickr. I try to pick what I consider "quality" photos for posting. But, because I take so many photos, sometimes a photo falls through the cracks. This one is from last year; no idea why I didn't post it.

The view from part way down the 199 steps.
The white house with the light on at the very left of the shot is called Steps cottage. It was where we were staying during our week in Whitby over Easter. There wasn't so many steps to climb to take this iconic view at sunrise, which was great for me!!
To get to the cottage from the centre you do have to climb quite a few steps which was a little tiring after a full day out. By the end of the week the walk up seemed slightly less tiring! 😂
I should probably attempt to get fitter before we return for 2 weeks in the summer holidays, then I'll have a go at tackling the 199 steps to do a sunrise shoot from the Abbey!

Last Sunday, it was good to finally sight some Chalk hills, just 4 males seen on the day. Hoping to get out tomorrow, in order to find some more of these beauties.

Sorry about the previous confusing intro!!! :-( Tho I wish I could perform the magic editing imagined... it's beyond me.
Last winter (2019) there was an abundance of wild food and it was also a very mild winter.. so no birds needed feeding here. This year there is real winter... and to my amazement, after 20 months away, the silvereyes returned.. and remembered me. Well... they remembered peanut butter ;-) On their first day back some even nibbled it from my fingers. Now they come to meet me. The brave ones land on my hand to eat, the clever ones find the peanut butter jar in my other hand :-) On the first day one jumped repeatedly on my head but not at all since. Another landed on my lens barrel, looked me straight in the eye, and told me to get on to more important things :-)
