"do we have sunblock?" she asked as they crossed over the rickety bridge which led to the beach. it was the kind of bridge you had to be careful with, because the slats seemed to separate further apart every time somebody walked on them.
"check," he responded.
"beach towels? just not one of them. but two..."
he patted the sack on his back. "got them."
"what about the cooler?" she said suddenly, looking down at her hands and then she had this with this sudden realization that neither of them had gotten it.
"damn..." he grimaced, rubbing his thumb against the corner of his mouth. "let's find a good spot, set up, and i'll go back and get it."

there are no tables or other rooms in this snack bar. you order outside of the shop at a counter and look straight into the kitchen while the food is being prepared.
