Captured this Great Grey owl not far from my gate on my way to go kayaking at sunrise (I recognized the owl from my winter shoot) It isn't camera shy at all but it doesn't like trucks so I get out and walk up. I'm glad I took images of all angles because I am just as crazy about a good background as I am of the subject. Not often I get both.

Whenever the forest invites you to go on a hike, there is always a certain tension. Especially paths that you don't know have a special charm on you.
Black-eyed Susans are the state flower of Maryland, the official flower of the Preakness Stakes horse race, an Australian rock band, a restaurant in Nantucket, a clothing shop in Long Beach Island,
a cocktail (made with orange and pineapple juices, rum, vodka and elderberry liqueur).......
A lot going on for this garden variety flower! They are so bright and cheerful!

Sometimes my photos require “Getting Close” to the subject physically. Lying on top of pile of leaves or wading in shallow waters. Remaining always safe there’s not much I haven’t tried yet to “Get That Shot, lol” From the top of the Empire State Building in NYC to a Native American Celebration in New Mexico and many cool places in between. Yup it’s decaying flowers time again, what else would you expected this time of year from me? It’s been pretty cold here in S Wales, but not as cold as Scotland and northern parts of the UK.
