I took this shot just after midday after deciding to take the car down to the beach as opposed to walking! It was / is very windy, cold and the rain has arrived!!
Our weather, so far, has been more often like this with only a minimum number of days with blue skies and sunshine.

I have quite a few pictures of my film camera taken on the tipod with my digital camera, I guess the reverse was inevitable, particularly whilst it's making me wait for a long exposure shot.
I suspect I was hoping that you'd see the scene in the back panel LCD, but that's too dark, instead I like that you can see my hand holding the lens of the Yashica :)
So far, we haven't seen another person. There is a well-worn trail, most of the tracks are from deer.
The Ute Trail runs mostly through wilderness, from high on the rim down 1,200 feet to the Gunnison River.
Getting there was a trip through desert badlands, the last 2.5 miles on the "Smith Mountain Jeep Road", a rough 4WD track that tested the Elements abilities.
Didn't seem necessary to climb that much to get to the canyon rim, but there it was.

July 8: Camping at Black Canyon of the Gunnison; an excursion to the Gunnison Gorge Wilderness area.
It's been a few years since I photographed a Green Hairstreak, so was pleased to capture this one today.

It was a hot summer afternoon in Brigus South. After a short break on the rocking chair, Robert was ready to get to work in the woods again.
Shannen & Courtney are getting ready to go out . They have just finished a photo shooting for a famous brand of doll clothing.
S: Courtney, don't tell me you're still wearing only your underwear! You're too slow for being a model!

C: What time is it now?
S: Time to hurry up!
C: Seriously are we already too late for dinner? I'm hungry!!
S: What did Barbie say? She knows you're always late, so they're waiting for us now.
C: Ok...
S: By the way, who else is coming for dinner tonight?
C: Mmm... I think just the other girls, Ken and Ryan.
S: Who's Ryan?
Wherever I am in the world, if I get free time when I'm filming I always hire a car, take to the road, drive for miles and explore.
