Feed 'em, water 'em and they will produce flowers for a long time.

Rained a bit yesterday when I took this photo; today, it's seriously raining...like pouring right now. It's unfortunate that we have appointments today which we cannot cancel. When it rains like this, we just want to stay at home, keeping warm and dry. Oh well! Sigh!

The geranium wintered in my house, and now it is loving the outdoors.

Thanks for the kind comments, favs and awards!

This geranium likes to creep through other plants so I tried an experiment of isolating it with a long focal length lens (400mm) and a wide aperture, so everything else was out of focus.

Geranium decorated at the house wall was found at Hayama.

Taken in Douglas, Isle of Man.

Geranium flower and buds

I'm just an ordinary flower but I have my own particular brand of beauty!

I thought this delicate, little plant was a goner in the heat....but no, it made it through and is finishing with some nice flowers. There's something interesting in the background, but I bet you can't guess what it is.

Flowers still blooming - just - in our garden on a November day.

Picasa used for crop and border processes.

Two quilting cottons. Love the ruffles.

Experiments with a new lens. So .... the 300mm is not bad up close (but not too close!!)

Herb-robert is a low-growing plant, with small, pretty, pink flowers. Look for it in shady spots in woodland, hedgerows and coastal areas.

Herb-robert is a type of crane's-bill that is found in a variety of habitats, including woodland, hedgerows, rocky or exposed areas, scree slopes and coastal areas. Look for it in areas of shade away from acidic soils. Its small, pink flowers mainly appear between May and September, and its leaves emit an unpleasant, mousy scent.

Traditionally, Herb-robert was used to treat nosebleeds and headaches, as a tonic for tummy upsets, as an antiseptic to help heal wounds, and even as a mosquito repellent.
