Some of the buds have bloomed since last photographed.
Again a different set up:
Camera D810
Lens AFS 70-300mm 4.5-5.6 VR
Filter Nikon 5T (Used a step down ring to fit 62mm filter to 67 mm threads on lens)
I went into the garden this afternoon armed with a tripod, my Canon fitted via adapter to an Olympus 80mm macro lens with its zoom tube attachment and took five shots in rapid succession and then focus stacked in Photoshop.
Even when the marine layer is thick, these blossoms shine brightly!

Rained a bit yesterday when I took this photo; today, it's seriously raining...like pouring right now. It's unfortunate that we have appointments today which we cannot cancel. When it rains like this, we just want to stay at home, keeping warm and dry. Oh well! Sigh!
