Pelargonium species are evergreen perennials indigenous to Southern Africa, and are drought and heat tolerant, but can tolerate only minor frosts. They are commonly known as geraniums.

I shot this for week 13 of my Project 52. The prompt for the week was "Photographer's Choice".
I had a hard time deciding what genre is my favorite. I like to shoot macros, flowers, nature, and still life. While sitting outside with my coffee this morning, our geranium kept catching my eye. So here it is!
Thankfully, my muse spoke to me!

It's the time of year when my services as "Assistant to Master Gardener" (Alison) are increasingly required. This is usually confined to cutting the grass, weeding and general donkeywork.
