Would you like your mind to be blown away by world class scenery? Do you believe your own eyes? Do you see what I see? The chimney? The clouds?

Early in the morning, the clouds create phenomenal patterns which can be perceived as clouds blown up through the chimney!!! You can experience it yourself while visiting Courthouse Towers, Arches National Park, in Utah.

Santiago Island has the biggest and longest lava flow, which is located in Sullivan Bay. Geologically speaking, this island is one of the most beautiful and unbelievable formations. The vast basaltic landscape performs smooth and unbroken surfaces with undulations and nods formed by the fluid lava that created the sculpture. It is located on the central west of the archipelago and is formed by two overlapping volcanoes. It is the 4th biggest of the Galapagos archipelago.

Y no me defraudó.

Arches National Park is located on the Colorado River 4 miles north of Moab, Utah.

Here now a colour version of Dynjandi waterfall (Dynjandi meaning "The Thundering One) in Iceland's Westfjords which is actually a series of waterfalls and only the largest, upper part is named Dynjandi. Due to the perspective there are only two falls visible but there are seveal other smaller ones in between. All of them together provide a drop of the water of over 100 metres.

Iceland lies upon two tectonic plates, the American and the Mid-Atlantic one and those plates are moving creating a rift zone where they are drifting apart from each other. The position of that rift zone within Iceland has moved over the passage of millions of years. The mountain you see is Vatnsdalsfjall (the Lake Valley Mountain) located in Northwest Iceland where once that rift zone was located about 7 million years ago. The tall mountains you see are geological features that were folded up through the rift zone while the small hills in Vatnsdalur are not related to a old rift, but were formed in a huge rockslide down the sides of the mountains towering the valley. A very interesting and beautiful place to visit. (thanks for the information goes to Daníel Freyr Jónsson)

When you hike in Arches National Park you can meet lot's of hikers, all kinds of them, from all over the world. What I did not expect was to find a hiking tree, right! Hiking tree! Just look at it! It's so fascinating!

River Skjálfandafljót rushing along its very picturesque canyon right after plunging down 30 metres creating Godafoss waterfall. The whole setting is so utterly beautiful, it is definitely worth not just photographing the waterfall but to hike a bit along this river which has created a formidable landscape since the last ice age.

The river Skjálfandafljót after dropping down into this gorge, forming the Godafoss, continues its turbulent way through wild Icelandic Highlands. Here a capture from early May.

An absolutely stunning place to visit, see and experience. It's unlike anywhere else on the earth, so incredibly spectacular, and full of colours and history written in the stone. We spent 5 days here, and I wish we had more time for all the picturesque sites to visit here!! It's a hard work for a photographer at this place, as you get the rush to see it all at the best time of a day!!! Lot's of driving back and forth to see it all. :)

Jökulsárgljúfur river canyon in Central-North Iceland is a magnificent example of the raw creatve powers of our planet. The entire canyon displays the most stunning structures of columnar basalt at an incredible expense of landscape. It was created by the joint work of Earth folding up an entiremountain range and the Jökulsá á Fjöllum river grinding its path through it. At one ramification of this canyon there is Dettifoss, supposedly Europe's most powerful waterfall and at another end is Selfoss, another superb example of Icelandic waterfalls.

If you are in Las Vegas, don't miss out on this absolutely photo perfect day trip. Takes about an hour of drive from Vegas and you will never regret it. This park has many bizarre rock formations than any of the other parks I visited. The scenery is untouched over thousands of years. Petroglyphs left on rock wall by civilizations long ago. The colours of the different walls of the canyons and mountains is striking in contrast. Take many pictures, as you will probably never see such sights like this again. This area offers some of the most amazing scenery glowing with an unusually bright crimson color, where vivid colors are splashed on the oldest rock formations. Enjoy it!

A ¾ of a mile hike leads you through beautiful sandstone, to a natural phenomenon in the desert, the Fire Wave. I was pleasantly surprised and captivated by its pristine beauty, peaceful surroundings, and picturesque landscape. Enjoy it!

It was getting dark and rain was just around the corner....

mountain range along Snaefellsnes peninsula in Northwest Iceland. Their structures are unbelievably interesting and beautiful.

The scenic roads and panoramas in the Valley of Fire State Park, NV, are spectacular. We drove through the park, down deep valleys and up again, through rocky hills, walls and gorges, to experience these breathtaking views.

“The Road goes ever on and on

Down from the door where it began.

Now far ahead the Road has gone,

And I must follow, if I can,

Pursuing it with eager feet,

Until it joins some larger way

Where many paths and errands meet.”

Colorado Springs is amazing with its natural landscapes beauty. Graden of the God is in the outskirts of Colorado Springs and can be seen on the way to Pike Peaks. This place is filled with people, constantly. I wanted a tribute photo to this place without any people or as little as it can be in the photos. I waited patiently for the right time and then I was able to take few photos.

Garden of the Gods is home to a plethora of geological and ecological rarities that make the park a prime site for nature lovers.

The garden's red rock formations were created during a geological upheaval along a natural fault line millions of years ago. Archaeological evidence shows that prehistoric people visited Garden of the Gods about 1330 BC. At about 250 BC, Native American people camped in the park; they are believed to have been attracted to wildlife and plant life in the area and used overhangs created by the rocks for shelter. Many native peoples have reported a connection to Garden of the Gods, including Apache, Cheyenne, Comanche, Kiowa, Lakota, Pawnee, Shoshone, and Ute people.
