This is the port-side generator, there are two aboard the Mars (C-FLYL). This is original equipment, made by the Ranger Aircraft Engine Company, and has been in service for over 60 years. The bulkhead in front of the aircooled engine is the rear of the main wing spar.

The Diefenbunker located outside the capital city of Ottawa, is an underground nuclear bunker built in secrecy during the height of the Cold War between 1959 and 1961, and was meant to house the top officials of the government and military during the risk of nuclear attack.
The bowels of the bunker house the power supply and machinery to keep the mucky-mucks alive.
I originally titled this image 'Alternator', but that was wrong. This vintage 8N had a 6-volt positive ground electrical system powered by a generator. What's the difference? Well, a generator produces Direct Current, whereas an alternator produces Alternating Current. There are other differences, and they all add up to the fact that in most automotive applications the alternator is a better fit.

Oscilloscope displaying waves from the Korg MS2000r. The sound is coming from the yellow ended BNC to BNC cable. On the other end, there is an adaptor I made. A BNC plug on a length of stiff Co-Axial cable that I soldered into the back of a Jack plug. Most suitable for signal injection of acquisition!

This is the back-up generator for KATC, in Lafayette, LA. It was originally used for remote broadcasts in the 60's, today it's the station's stand-by if they lose power. Yeah, I wouldn't trust it either
