I noticed in Zhovkva (town in Lviv region founded in 1398) girls begin to dress very feminine as of 9 or 10 years old. These on the photo were as well rather a rule than an exception. Though looks like that old man liked that!

The contrast between the vigorous string pace of the young woman and the slow gait of the older gentleman, was just too enticing to pass up. I photographed these pedestrians from across the street using the narrow depth of field of my medium telephoto to separate them from the complex background of trees and telephone wires that would have otherwise been very distracting.

it was pretty dark so im fairly satisfied with how this turned out... neither of them are quite in focus :( but i was shooting quickly and with poor lighting so not too shabby...
