This one is an ultrawide night shot of San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge, taken with alteredandtorn, from Vista Point.

I have a lot of plans for my photography into the next year - I'll see you all there!

I don't know where it leads yet ... but every trip down this road has been interesting. Happy Fence Friday

I should point out that I was standing in deep shadow at the edge of the graveyard, looking out over sunlit fields. The symbolism, I trust, is obvious.

For today's theme, three photos taken on July 7th, 2015, it was my second day in San Francisco. All three photos had faults such that I would not post them on Flickr. Now thanks to the magic of Generative Fill in Photoshop, the faults have been removed and these photos can now take their place in my photostream.

Matthew 7:13-14 New International Version (NIV)

The Narrow and Wide Gates

13 âEnter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

Finally the time is here!

Today the gates will be opened.

11.00 AM sl time we will kick of with an opening party and I would be delighted if you joined us!

Come explore or party with us and I hope you will have as much fun here as I had creating it.

This sim is created to emulate and elicit the feel in the watercolor paintings done by Andrew Wyeth. Melancholy, nostalgia, starkness and the crispness of his work. You will find spots throughout the sim where you can find recreations of some of his paintings and you can pose, take pictures and create your own art work as you like it.

I hope you enjoy!

From 11.00 AM you can find us:

even Lego Land can't explain why they call it the Golden Gate Bridge when it's obviously not gold

I was talking via comments to someone about photo's even old ones being memories laid down using photography. this is a case in point that as you can see was taking in 2010...It bought memories of that day flooding back and i even remembered where we parked and going through the kissing gate (grabbing a kiss of course :) and walking up to that church. My late husband would have been aged 61 yrs and still in good health then. I don't shy away from memories ever..and finding this among the lost folders hidden on my hard drive bought with it many happy memories..Sue..

The Brandenburg Gate (German: Brandenburger Tor) is an 18th-century neoclassical triumphal arch in Berlin, and one of the best-known landmarks of Germany. It is built on the site of a former city gate that marked the start of the road from Berlin to the town of Brandenburg an der Havel. During the post-war Partition of Germany, the gate was isolated and inaccessible immediately next to the Berlin Wall, and the area around the gate was featured most prominently in the media coverage of the tearing down of the wall in 1989.

Looking through a few folders and came across this image taken when assisting on a workshop in Exmoor with Image seen .

Rainy day at the SF Bay

(Yet) another wobbly to amuse you tonight :)

I’ve taken this gate before (non-wobbled). It’s to be found on one of my local walks where the path follows the bottom of the woods. Because the get is at right angles to the path (which passes to the left) and it looks across the valley to the hills beyond there is always some interesting backlight looking out from the dark of the path.

This is the sort of subject that tends to work quite well as an ICM. In spite of the abstraction you can still see what it is.

So I just had to take a wobbly of it for my 100x project which is on the downward slope to the finish now (though you may have been thinking that we've been going downhill for a while ;) ). It's been taken with a bit of jiggle and over-sharpened as usual to get the lines, but lowered Clarity to add too the smoothness - not quite the contradiction it seems :)

This sounds like just the sort of place alcoholics would meet, but I never see any. Very strange!

Thanks for taking a look. Hope you enjoy it. Happy 100x :)

Framing of a mysterious gate decorated with geometric patterns.

Gates can mean different things depending on how you look at them.

A gate can represent a threshold or a boundary between two states of being or two different worlds.

Beyond architectural aspect; doors, gates, arches all represent transitioning from one place to another.

The real world to be faced during winter. It's not always colors or black and white.
