The Brandenburg gate is a former city gate and one of the main symbols of Berlin and Germany. The gate was inaccessible during the length of the Cold War and only reopened officially on December 22, 1989. It's association with the collapse of the Berlin Wall makes it one of the most famous landmarks of Germany.

Cloud Gate is a wonderful addition to the city of Chicago for photography buffs. It draws people in and is a highly interactive piece of art, which is strange since it is highly inactive at the same time.
It would be difficult to go to Millenium Park and only take one photo of this fascinating piece of art. I hope to visit Cloud Gate every time I return to Chicago, just to capture it at various moments in time.

The Brandenburg Gate (Brandenburger Tor) has for many years stood in Berlin as a symbol of peace, war and division.
The Neo-Classical structure, half city gate, half triumphal arch, was constructed in the lat 18th century and completed in 1795 to a design by Carl Gotthard Langhans based on the entrance to the Acropolis in Athens.
It originally marked the border of the city and served as a customs post for the road to Brandenburg, with the Quadriga sculpture of Viktoria on its top designed by Johann Gottfried Schadow and regarded as a symbol of peace.
The Quadriga was taken away by Napoleon to Paris in 1806 after his defeat of the Prussians and only returned in 1814, after which the Prussian Cross held by Viktoria with a laurel wreath was put in place.
It was before the Brandenburg Gate that a military parade celebrating Hitler’s ascent to power was celebrated and after the Second World War it became a symbol of division, standing on the border between East and West Berlin.
The gate and Quadriga were restored while the city was divided – one in East Berlin and the other in the West – and the whole was reunited as was the country, the Prussian cross restored having been taken away by the East German government.
When it was fully restored in 2002, a million people gathered to celebrate and it is now a popular tourist attraction for millions of visitors.
Gates of Montecito is a collection of private drives and entries into some very unique homes and estates. All photograhps were taken from public property and are deliberately not identified.
One day coming home from visiting friends my wife saw a house with a fancy custom metal driveway gate. She said we need to get rid of the old chain link gate and get one of those nice gates.
I said those are too expensive theirs no way we could afford it. I told her I'll make one.
There were a bazillion ideas online so i just saved a bunch of pictures and came up with something.

Hells Gate (British Columbia)
Hells Gate is an abrupt narrowing of British Columbia's Fraser River, located
immediately downstream of Boston Bar in the southern Fraser Canyon. The
towering rock walls of the Fraser River plunge toward each other forcing the
waters through a passage only 35 metres (115 ft) wide. It is also the name of
the rural locality at the same location.

Gateway of Sacrificial Love
Sheep Gate (aka Lion or Steven’s Gate)
John 10:1-18
This gate’s history reflects much of the Lord desires for us now. This gate was not only the entrance in which lambs where brought through for sacrifice, but also the gate in which Yeshua passed through before his crucifixion. In addition it is dedicated to the martyrdom of Steven (Acts 7:54-60). This history combine directs us to two main points. First, that Yeshua was the spotless Passover Lamb and by his blood we can have boldness to enter his Kingdom. And secondly, that he is calling us to the highest level of love—one that gives up their life just like he had. He desires us to deny ourselves, to take up our cross and follow him in extravagant love. We are to die with him, become nothing, and there experience the greatest level of love. We must not only die, but also live, as martyrs.
This painting shows a generation who is covered in the blood of the Lamb, and has also embraced the pathway of dieing daily to self so that they may be filled with the greatest level of love for God. Yeshua, the Shepard, is calling his sheep to pass through this gate—and the Gate, his Him.
