Built between 1788 and 1791 by Prussian King Frederick William II as a key entry point to the city of Berlin, Brandenburg Gate was topped off with a statue known as the “Quadriga,” which depicted a statue of the goddess of victory driving a chariot pulled by four horses.

Locally sourced dishes served in a lively, upmarket restaurant offering a terrace & river views.
The Burg Tor, or castle gate, was built in the 1500's for the town of Rothenburg ob der Tauber in Germany. Visitors had to pay a toll to enter the city through this gate.

took a quick shot of this homeless fella, I had no idea he glanced at me, the only shot I took of him.
This is all that remains of a large house that once stood in Montgomery, NY across from my high school. When I was in middle school the house was still there in a very collapsed state. Now if not for this post, you'd never know it had been there.

The road from the airport leads through so-called "Gates of the City". These wide open gates meet guests of the city of Chisinau.
