I'm not the biggest fan on spaghetti, however my sister in law makes the best. She adds all of the extra stuff to it that makes m want to go back for seconds.....MMMMMMM

Last night's dinner, with bonus backdrop of kitchen utensils and dishwashing soap. Basic generic salad with olive-oil garlic bread; pasta is whole-grain wheat/flax penne with kidney beans and corn, with cheeseless pesto (from the Amore pesto tube that can be seen in the background; basil plants wither and die in my flat, and buying fresh basil sprigs to make my own pesto is too expensive at $2 a pop).
Das Knoblauchbrot - Bolo de caco wird überall angeboten. Ein Brot, das traditionell aus Roggen-, Mais- und Süsskartoffelmehl, getoastet und mit Knoblauchbutter bestrichen wird.
Bolo do caco is a bread that is circular like a cake and thus called bolo. It is a flat circular bread, traditionally cooked on a Caco, a flat basalt stone slab. The bread is usually served simply with Garlic butter.

sooo good. We get it without the rosemary though as I can't stand even the smell of the stuff... (from the menu: Pizza bread baked with garlic and mozzarella served with caramelised balsamic onions)
We present to you a perfect lunch - pea soup, garlic bread and carrots - all miniature food, all delicious looking, all polymer clay.
Feast your eyes on the perfectly crafted pea soup. It's thick and creamy, just like the real thing. It is best served with a touch of sour cream, and you can actually see the detail of grease that found its way all the way to the surface. It is truly outstanding.
Two slices of garlic bread have already been prepared, and you can see the texture of the dressing on top of them. A bowl of carrots completes the meal - health is of essence. And we serve it all on a beautiful shabby chic wooden tray.

Christina's Garlic Bread
Rayson gave Chris a hand.
Chris made a Thai-style Pineapple Fried Rice, Rosemary and Tomato Chicken, Roast Lamb, Mussels with Meatballs and Garlic Bread! and I think there was a salad of mixed leaves too!
She was a bit worried people would forget o bring food :)
Retro-style Garlic King Prawns served in a Claypot, chilli, garlic, cream and our charred breads AUD32
It was a bit of a toss up between this dish and the crab linguine. In the end, I decided to avoid the fiddly crab.
This creamy garlic prawns was indeed a very retro 1980s faux-Italian dish. Do they even have this in Italy?
The prawns were fresh and crisp and the garlic cream sauce so good we mopped it all up with bread!

My meat sauce contains beef, tomato puree, diced tomatoes, diced bell peppers, and a variety of herbs & spices.
My wife, father, brother and I went to the fair on Tuesday evening. We had a late night snack at the Jo-Jo's stand. While waiting for my food I snapped a picture of the menu in front of me on the counter.
Since I will have a 4 day respite from being the executive in charge of all meals for 11 people, I had to make something yummy before we hit the road. One of my boys' favorite meals, spaghetti & meatballs, I made some amazing garlic bread to serve with it, The bread is the roasted garlic loaf from the bakery at costco, topped with butter, garlic, herbs, cheeses and browned to perfection in the oven.
