This area has retained something ancient about it and I felt it quite keenly looking out over the river floodplain. Perhaps we retain an ancestral memory that goes back further than we realise..

One of many Halloween-themed yard decorations a neighbor put up, this one right next to a year-round one. The juxtaposition seems to imply a spooky fate awaits to a dog-walker faiiing to clean up after their faithful companion while on their daily stroll.

Looks like a pretty nice way to travel as a game warden. I actually think they must be pretty in southern Texas. There were fishermen all over in very difficult areas to get to. They are wading into water full of sand and mud up to their waist, they were fishing in kayaks and boats, they were fishing on the beaches, and from the jetties. Good place to fish.

Just sitting while watching my beloved Browns defeat the Buffalo Bills today.
The win ties them with the Steelers for the best record in the division, but the Steelers win the tiebreaker being that they won the season series between us.
So with two games left...I'm looking forward to two more Browns victories and at least one Steeler loss...
While the adults chat the children play computer games. I'm sure this scene was repeated across the world in many homes over the festive season.

Game night is always the best night! We've been playing a lot of Warframe. It's a bright and colorful, action packed game with complex lore....okay okay I could nerd out about it for a while.
With the summer coming to a close, it's time to focus in on the fall and winter shows. Trick or Trot is coming up fast, and we have a lot of prep to do. We will share a few sneak peaks with everyone in the coming days!
