Class of 2013 Cadet Robert Reckner checks the progress of his Summer Leaders Seminar students while they explore the software at the Department of Military Instruction’s Warfighting Simulation Center. More than 500 rising high school students had the opportunity to shoot moving targets in the EST2000 simulation, and engage in computerized combat against each other using the America’s Army software. SLS is a weeklong program developed by West Point Admissions in 1976 for rising high school seniors to experience a week at West Point. It was originally designed to capture the academic experience for students but gradually covered the full spectrum—from the classroom to field training and athletics. During the weeklong session, students learn about West Point from cadet cadre, senior military leaders, instructors and coaches. More than 1,000 students will experience West Point this summer, from a field of about 4,000 candidates. Northport Tigers hosted the Patchogue-Medford Raiders on October 19, 2013.
Northport WR Ken Radigan (#15) leaps and grabs the game winning TD, in double overtime.
Radigan, who made clutch catches all game, caught 9 passes for 156 yards with 1 TD.
This battle went into double overtime, with Northport winning, 38 to 31.

Unknown game card, I do not know what game this card is used in. from the Vawter Family Collection Shawnee and Osage Counties, Kansas.
I had various primes with me from 17 to 85mm. I don't remember which lens was which. Wide angles are either Tokina 17mm f3.5 RMC or Olympus Zuiko 24mm f2.8 and close-ups Yashica 50mm f1.4, Helios 58mm f2 or Samyang CINE 85mm t1.5. :-)
I spent the afternoon hunting small game in the garden. Here we have a European Garden Spider or Cross Spider. This fellow was tiny, and also in a very awkward spot, I was holding the camera upside down and almost standing on my head!

we spent the past long weekend with my parents. mexican train was one of the games that kept the kids busy indoors.
I was able to add the treasure chest and the windmill. The windmill actually spins. I had to use an old lego part that had an usually large circular opening. This was a bit of a challenge to make it work with modern bricks.
