A beautiful game of chess at Huis Doorn, the pieces most likely cantonese ivory (as far as I can tell with a little help from google), but when and how Wilhelm II acquired it was probably lost over the years.
Its part of a simple Flash game, I've made. It is placed on BS www.brickshelf.com/gallery/crises/robocze/games/frogs_fin... It sometimes crashes, may freez or show all answers at start. It is my first try in Flash so please be tolerant.
Someone else made a Rubik's Cube using Lego dice so that plan was scrapped and we came up with the newer version, which is semi functional and 3 sections can be turned.
Scale is almost 1:1, it's smaller by 1/8"

Parts from Mixel sets 41545 and 41546. I see myself experimenting even more with that dome-face design in the future.

Ever since I first saw these sculptures at the De Young Museum in San Francisco, I've been trying to capture them. However, my cameras and I were never quite up to the task. You can't use any kind of flash as you'll lose the shadows. Finally, with the 40D I managed. She's a wonderful artist - check her out: Ruth Asawa.
