Birdman had fun throwing that basketball over and over into the hoop fixed at the side of the pool, much to the annoyance of the people trying to relax around the pool. ;-)
Here we have my son, Justin AKA Tripod Monkey, dumping the tripod for a video game controller inside Disneyland's Innoventions...When Disneyland FINALLY decided to do something with the long empty America Sings carousel, Innoventions sounded like a really neat idea...A place to showcase innovative technologies of the near future in a interactive environment. There were some really neat ideas and displays when Innoventions opened at Disneyland in 1998. Since then, the displays have struggled somewhat to keep up with "cutting edge" as our society becomes ever increasingly obsessed with technology and communication...Today nearly half of the building is under renovation as they prepare for the next glimpse of living in the future...
I have not been inside Innoventions in a while, and have never photographed inside of the show building, so Justin and I went inside recently to see what was up...While I shot some HDR brackets near the entrance, Justin jumped inside the video game kiosk and went to work with his thumbs...Naturally, I couldn't resist the glowing green and blue tunnel...
You might notice that Justin is playing a racing game...both of my sons excel at racing games. ( I was awesome at Pole Position once upon a time...the kind you put quarters in) They love them, and play them whenever life allows it with busy school schedules, sports, marching and symphonic bands, and homework. Although Justin is a college student now, and responsible for his own destiny...my wife and I have always had pretty strict rules about when games are allowed...and yet they can still be awesome at virtual driving...My youngest in particular, Daniel, is SCARY good at driving games...and he just turned 16. I mention all this because yesterday he passed his test for obtaining a learner's permit...Lord help me...

First quick try at photographing an old electronic game with a tripod... want to play around with what looks good then do a series of whole games and close ups of interesting bits. Depth of field too shallow on this as the 'MANHOLE' word is already going out of focus.

La marelle a été rajoutée mais l'élan de cette vendeuse à Sitio (falaise de Nazaré) le valait bien!
The hopscotch was added but the momentum of this saleswoman in Sitio (cliff of Nazaré) deserved it!

Children enjoying a game of basketball in Cadiz City, Philippines. Basketball is just about the national sport and even in poor communities such as this one there are basketball courts of sorts, some provided for the community, some home built.
A few new photos from the game cams we have set up. I pulled some of the more interesting pictures off of the SD cards to upload.
