Located in the inner-city, the barbwire on the gate and fence are not exactly an endorsement of the neighborhood. This building and the one posted to the right have portal windows.
I have always wanted to hang out on the roof.
The main street of Silverton consists of a pub (where scenes from Mad Max were filmed) and this unique little art gallery.
In this instance I did not clone out the wires (because I couldn't be bothered ? - no I just felt they were really part of this outback scene)

Recently, an important local community art exhibition opened at the QVMAG in Launceston. It was the Minds Do Matter exhibition to raise awareness of mental health in the community. Over 100 local artists were represented and the exhibition will run until the end of the year.
Interesting to see a a couple of other photographers there, though plenty of people were taking snapshots with their phones. It may be a generational thing, but one young photographer only took photos using her backscreen and never the viewfinder. Whatever works I say, but I can never frame things properly without the viewfinder. That places me in the picture.

This was a view that I grabbed on Monday morning on my way in to work. Having not been through Trafalgar Square on the route for a while it was nice to see it in the sunshine after a cloudy few days. You can just spot a little remnant of the snow from the weekend if you look carefully ...

The gallery was showing some impressive Japanese prints from the Edo period, including No 20. The_Great_Wave_off_Kanagawa (c. 1831 -1833) by Katsushika Hokusai (1760-1849).
As I have a bit more free time, I thought I would post a shot, and will probably post an odd one or two over the coming weeks. I will return visits, but possibly not immediately. I will try to return all visits made to my stream each day on that day, before 11pm UK time.

This is a portrait of Lady Diana Bridgeman which I first assumed must be a self=portrait, but was painted by Harold Speed (1872-1957).. He first trained as an architect before he became a portrait painter. Lady Diana Bridgeman was an artist herself (obviously) and daughter of the Earl of Bradford. In this pose she certainly looks as though she could be painting Harold Speed at the same time – perhaps she was.
