Barbati Gallery is located in Palazzo Lezze on Campo Santo Stefano, a typical example of Venetian Gothic architecture built in 15th century. It also uniquely faces a campo (a Venetian square) rather than a canal.

Above the entrance, there is a row of seven pointed ornamental windows with a balcony. Directly above it, another balcony in front of a matching row of seven curved windows.

The National Gallery is an art museum in Trafalgar Square in the City of Westminster, in Central London. Founded in 1824, it houses a collection of over 2,300 paintings dating from the mid-13th century to 1900. It is among the most visited art museums in the world.

The SAINT-HUBERT ROYAL GALLERIES, a combination of 3 galleries, of which you see here the King's gallery. The construction started in 1845.

This is really in the centre of BRUSSELS, only a little street away from the famous Grand Place and the Town Hall.

In the middle of the 19th century, the Saint-Hubert Galleries were

the longest, highest (8 meters), best decorated and best lit galleries in the world, thanks to the enormous glass roof which is 200 meters long.

The history is quite fascinating. (For starters, some people died because of the destruction of the old neighbourhood).

Here the world famous "pralines" (Belgian chocolates) came to their name, the luxury leatherware company Delvaux started, it was an important (especially french) literary centre. Here the first Belgian public cinema show of the Cinematograph Lumière was organized on the 1st of March 1896, only a few weeks after Paris.

Still known as a cultural place, with theatre, cinema, bookstore, music store, and a commercial centre for luxury goods with fancy cafés and terraces, shops, cakes and icecream sellers.

On a day out with Laura in the main gallery of the museum. This is truly an amazing building. The gallery is all iron beams and glass roof, producing a beautiful light for photos and, of course, a wonderful place to meet.

I saw someone post photos of these yellow lupines on Facebook and decided to head out there to look for them today. I was delighted to see a whole carpet in the field near Hidden Valley. There have been showers on and off for the last couple of days. Once the sun comes back, these lupines will definitely strive.
