We usually have 2 cats who show up every day. This cat we call "Galaxy" and has been coming around for about 3 years now. We are not sure if she has an owner, and it took quite a while before she let us pet her.

Taken with a Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and edited in KVAD Photo Studio Pro. I was torn between the desert frame and the simple black border, so I decided to save and upload both. You choose which you like best and let me know.

I took this picture of my newly harvested yellow-orange tomatoes just in case I didn't get out with my camera for other geometry this week. Oh, I had so many ideas. But, I'm glad nature gives us some geometric designs and often makes them tasty, too. Small frame added with Flickr Editor.

PS: Does anyone know why I got all these different colors when the seeds all came from only one of last year's tomatoes? I'm especially confused by the red one.

In my travels at the end of 2022, I gifted myself 2 new kaleidoscopes from a wonderful store in Jerome, Arizona. It's called "Nellie Bly's," and it's the largest kaleidoscope store in the U.S. And... it's a color-addicts dream!

Since they say that looking into a kaleidoscope causes an endorphin rush, I hope to spend this year sharing many images captured from inside my new (and old) kaleidoscopes. I feel that makes this my perfect picture for our first challenge of 2023 to share what Happy New Year means to us.

For this starter picture, I used my cellphone camera to capture an image from my teleidoscope designed by Henry Bergeson. It's a two-mirror design with a full glass globe to bring in light and color from the surrounding setting. My Christmas gifts from hubby included some colorful beads, bells, baubles, and marbles, plus some pretty bowls to pour them into, and that's what I focused the globe on. When viewed through the teleidoscope, they are a burst of wonderful color.

After 7hrs, the drawing has been completed. Everything here is done using pencil and done free-handed.

The photo shows the Reagan's roundabout in Wrocław, Poland.

I took this photo with my Samsung smartphone in RAW format. Just to prove, that you can take a good photo with a smartphone :)

I get my "This Day in Photos" images from a few sources, and this is one that came up for this day in 2014. Sitting up all big and proud is my "Rainbow Bridge" kitty, Sunny Delight aka Sunny D. On the paw-print rug is my Dusky girl. And, yes, both of them are also on the shower curtain my sister-in-law made for us. It's our way of always having our 8 kitties no matter who crosses that bridge.

The day I took these, I walked into the bathroom and saw Sunny D under the curtain where Dusky is at. I thought it was so funny to see the cat under a curtain with him and my other kitty's on it, plus looking like he's following the paw-print road at the same time. By the time I got back with a camera, D-Boy had jumped up on the toilet, and Dusky was underneath the curtain. I love this celebration of my furbabies.

Just snap. Central. Hong Kong.

I took the original of this back in 2018, but I ran it through some editing and filtering to create a mousepad to use while I do music slides at our Christian Country Cowboy Church services.

These ladies took forever to cross the street, as you can see by the hand sign signaling don't cross!

The infrared filters I found in phone apps didn't look as good as solarize and inverted glow filters, so that's what I used to enhance some neighborhood trees. I've seen real infrared on a converted camera, and I don't know if I could edit well enough to match that beauty, but I do like the turquoise sky and white trees that I achieved with these edits.

This shot was taken from the C&O Canal across the Potomac River from Harper's Ferry. Harper's Ferry lies just to the outside left of this picture. I admit that at this point in the day, I had just completed a complete hike of the "Maryland Heights" trail and was quite tired. I didn't have the energy to pull out my Nikon to take some shots, so I took a few shots with my cellphone. I love the rounded rocks in the river. I believe it's wild to think of how many thousands of years it must have taken to give the river it's look that it has today around Harper's Ferry.

I originally took this to upload to my Google map photos as a local guide. This is the first time I learned that I could get fresh bleu cheese for my salads, and boy was it good. I added the frame in my KVAD Photo Pro Android app.

Tuesday seemed like a good day to create a table setting, so I got out some more of my Cape Cod ware and set it up on a cream-colored placemat. After adding the cute heart border, I decided to put a light crinkle texture overlay. The hardest part is showing the deep reds while also showing the intricate design and not allowing too much red in the shadows. This glassware is so pretty in person, and though I have usable pieces, I can't imagine using them for anything but looking good. :-)

After getting it all done, I realized I had two sets of two-of-a-kind, so it's perfect for item 89 in the 118 Pictures group.

It was cold this week! Too cold for me to venture out and try for a wildlife photo for the challenge until today. So, it's last minute, and it's not the best resolution, and I had to crop a lot out because of using my cellphone for the picture...but I completed the challenge. And that's a win for me. :-)

Hubby at the French Lick Resort where they do lots of great decorations. In this scene, we've got a few of the reindeer from "Twas The Night Before Christmas" and hubby tried to make it look like our son Josh had killed it while out hunting. I love how one of the other reindeer seems to be looking on in surprise. Lotsa fun that night.
