Geeking out on how to build this damn car i can tell you guys, it is not easy to build something that looks kind of ugly and make it still look good.
Took me some time to figure out how to do tthe transformation, but you know me!
I am always on duty ;)
Go Go Gadget!
I'll happily accept advice on a gadget bag that will suit my needs and not break my wallet. I've seen some Tom Bihn bags that I LOVE, but I can't justify the price. Looking for alternatives.
All the items in this photo (plus my iPad) fit in my current bag, but it's crammed full with no organization.
Some comments on the contents: Yes, my rarely used checks are in a Vera Bradley cover. My old vinyl cover wore out and my wife put them in this case, and I've never had an excuse to change it. And yes, I do carry a SIM tray opener tool from a long-ago iPhone model since Apple doesn't bundle them any more. Two sets of earbuds? Yep, one with the 3.5mm jack and one with the Lightning jack for my iPhone 7. Yes, I'm redundant enough to carry the 3.5mm earbuds plus the 3.5mm to Lightning adapter. And yes, I still carry a Lightning adapter for old 30-pin Dock accessories. Why carry the bulky add-on cable for the charger brick? It actually has less to do with grounding and more to do with lengthening the charge cable as I often need to do. Last comment is to identify the gray square at the bottom as a little pouch holding multicolor sticky note pads.
Not very happy uploading this, but hate getting behind and these are really the only gadgets I have with me, being 1000 klm's from home and in a rented apartment. Please excuse the comp.
I refreshed my network corner today. Now a new ADSL modem from Bell becomes part of the infrastructure.
Another look at some of the props created for various Gizmodo pictures during my tenure as Guest Artist.
My submission for week 24/52 of the 2010 Challenge. The theme is GADGETS.
Lighting: halogen desk lamps from camera left and camera right, diffused by the light tent.
More interesting if you View On Black.
Making Of Video
Strobist info: one bare SB900 and SB800 under the Model pointing upwards and downwards towards the walls, one bare SB600 fired straight down at her lower leg, one SB26 fired into a silver umbrella pointing down at a 45 degree angle above her head. Triggered with CLS.
A gadget is a small tool such as a machine that has a particular function, but is often thought of as a novelty. Gadgets are sometimes referred to as gizmos. Read more on therandomgadgetshop.com
I got a new asthma inhaler, and thought I'd film the unboxing of it. Thanks to GlaxoSmithKline for the advance preview unit. Read the full post on my blog.
Some Q-gadgets and a Micro Lotus Esprit plus a secret compartment with the design inspired by the opening titles of Dr. No
-I'm not a gadget person, but my mp3 player is a must, I love music, english and spanish well depends on what mood I'm in, it's either one or the other, never both. My phone is my other most used gadget aside from my camera of course!!

My submission for week 21/52 of the 2010 Challenge. The theme is GADGETS.
I bought this keyboard on a whim, and have since become inordinately fond of its sleek shape. So call me shallow.... Ah, well. This is just about SOOC.
Celeste's Bag. These are the tools I carry with me just about everywhere, either in my purse, or my computer bag.
Oil and fuel filter strap wrench for removal of various size filters.
would have been another good one for the metalic challenge
ODC Theme : Gadgets
Taken 4/4/11
Synthetic Record circa 1979
MP3 digital "gadget" circa 2011
Flash fired directly above to produce blocks of color you see on the record surface. It's a "Special Laser Edition" ...ooohhh ahhhh...and the surface has been cut using a holographic grading process. I have know idea what that is. It produces nice colors, that's all I care about. :) I could see some really nice pinks that would have gone with the gadget color...you think I could get the ^$!#$!# camera to pick up on them?!! A tiny little bit at bottom left is all it gave me.
There's also a secret in getting the little gadget screen to show the mp3 name without reflecting the flash...$20 and I'll share it with you. If you have Canadian dollars, we'll work something out :P
Thank you Mikayla for the use of the birthday gadget.
I'm not sure yet what this looks like in Large view...maybe you'll be the first!
My son gave this to me when he was in paramedic training. If anyone is ever trapped inside a car and the doors won't open, this will break the window. Just hold the tip to the window and hit the blunt end hard and the window will shatter. He didn't know the original use for the tool but this is what he wanted me to keep where I could easily reach it in an emergency.
Challenge with Jo: Gadget
Practiced today with my new gadget, walked around Marshy Point and filmed my trek along one of the paths. GoPro makes a very good product. Because of the super wide angle lens, it’s not suited to all video recording scenarios, but I can see that it holds a lot of potential. My problem is that my PC is too old to edit the videos, and viewing the full 1080p vids is a bit choppy :(
