Peter knew that he could not catch the Emperor and Gamora. He had to think of a way to cut them off. 'How though?' Peter thought to himself. He turned to look at the still burning hole in the window. 'Well, it's better than nothing.' Quill thought as he began running to the window. As he got to the window, Peter kicked on his jetpack and zoomed down towards the courtyard. Coming to a rolling stop as he landed, Peter raised his gun to the door in anticipation. Moments pass and the Emperor emerges.
"Don't shoot!" He exclaims as he sees Peter aiming his weapon at him.
"Get out of here!!" Peter exclaims to the Emperor. Following the orders, the Emperor begins running towards the main city. A minute later, Gamora emerges from the door and raises her swords in an attack position.
"Where is he?"
"Long gone. Stand down! I don't want to shoot!"
"You don't know who you're messing with, do you?"
"I've heard many stories since my first day as Star-Lord, unfortunately one about a foxy green dame who tries to kill important people wasn't one of them."
"As I said before, my name is Gamora. One of the top assassins in all of the galaxy."
"Y'see, I've heard that a lot though. People claiming to be the best assassin. They never really are though it seems."
"Want me to prove it?" Gamora doesn't give Peter a chance to answer, instead she lunges at him and swings one of swords towards his neck. Peter was able to drop to the ground and roll away unscathed. He lifted his gun up and shot towards Gamora. Though a skilled shot by Quill, Gamora was able to dodge it with ease, showing her speed.
Gamora took Peter by surprise and swung both of her swords at the same time. Thinking quickly, Peter dove backwards and shot towards Gamora as he did so. The blast hit one of Gamora's swords and knocked it out of her hand. She swore under her breath as even though it hit her weapon, the force of the blast still continued down the sword and to her hand.
"Your move!" Peter said as he took a defensive stance with his gun lowered to the ground a tad. Gamora grabbed her remaining sword with both hands and grinned menacingly. To Peter's request, Gamora lunged once again. This time, Peter raised his gun to his opponent and shot a blast at her weapon. Gamora anticipated the move and was able to dodge the blast and also keep her weapon in hand. She then swings her sword upward towards Quill. This strike hits Peter and tears the front of his suit as well as leaves a cut along his side.
Peter winces in pain but does not let this injury hinder him. He's had worse in his short time as Star-Lord. Quill took Gamora's surprise of his lack of pain and used it to his advantage, He raised his gun towards her and shot her shoulder. This time it connected and Gamora was forced to the ground. Peter ran to her and grabbed hand cuffs from his belt.
"I'm sure the Nova Corps will appreciate this one. Shame though, sending a pretty girl like you to prison should be a crime in and of itself." Peter said as he cuffed his injured opponent. He pulled her to her feet and she then replied.
"Flattery will get you nowhere." Peter smiled as she said this.
"Rora, disable the controls in the gunner seat, we've got a hitch-hiker."
The essential accessory... though Hot Toys could really have made those headphones fit his head a bit better.

I got some great comics during this year's Free Comic Book Day, including; The Walking Dead 163: Conquered, DC Rebirth Wonder Woman, Captain America: Secret Empire, All-New Guardians Of The Galaxy, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!
This is my third year taking part in this event and I plan to continue doing it as long as it's still around. I mean, come on...Who doesn't want free comics? :P
This day get's even better because tonight I'm gonna go see Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2! Sadly, I've already had multiple things spoiled for me about the movie...But I'm still going to enjoy watching it. That's pretty much all for now!
The main city of Xandar was abuzz with excitement. The Nova corps was having a parade to celebrate the establishment of the corps itself. This day was specifically chosen by Peter's employer so that their deal could be done in the open without drawing attention to the deal itself. Peter landed his ship at a docking bay just outside the city. He took a tram to the centre of the city.
Inside a local restaurant, Quill twiddled his thumbs as he waited for his employer to arrive. The parade made it's way past the window next to Peter's booth. He sighed as he thought to himself that he'd rather be out there celebrating. In his few short years travelling the cosmos he came to gain a great respect for the Nova Corps. Given their presence, Peter's responsibilities as Star-Lord diminished a great deal, but that did not make him the slightest bit bitter. In fact he was relieved. He was able to find small work, retrieving and delivering things to people who were willing to pay him for his services. This allowed him to explore the galaxy around him more than he could have ever imagined.
Caught up in his thoughts, Peter didn't notice the man in a black cloak sit down across from him. The man snapped his fingers and Peter quickly looked at the man with a confused look.
"You're not Tivan."
"No, I'm not." The man lowers his hood, revealing a human-like skull mask. The man's eyes shifted as he looked at Peter. "I-I do work for him though."
"Oh... Are you here to pick up the polarity regulator he asked for?"
"Y-yes. Where is it?"
Peter opens one of his belt pouches and takes out the regulator. He shows it off to the man across from him and quickly lowers it back underneath the table.
"Is that really it?"
"Yes, of course. Why would I try to cross Tivan?"
"Can I see it?"
"Can I see the money?"
The man's eyes shift away from Peter. Peter notices this and stands up from the booth.
"You do work for him, don't you?"
The man stands up as well, but he does not answer. Instead he grabs the hand Peter has the regulator in and punches Peter in the stomach as he does this. Peter let's his grip go and the man pulls the regulator from his hand. Quill grabs his stomach and yells at the man who just stole what he had taken from the Sligs.
"Get back here!"
The man does not listen, but instead runs out of the restaurant and into the crowd of parade-goers. Peter follows him out of the building but looses him in the crowd. He presses a button on his gauntlet and his helmet covers his face. He looks all around him to see if he can spot the man who he had just met. With no luck, Peter had no choice but to begin shoving the crowd of people to the side and begin a long search for the man.
Although he spent hours searching, Peter was unsuccessful in finding the man that stole the polarity regulator that he was supposed to give to Tivan. Much to his dismay, Peter returned to his ship.
"Did your meeting go well?"
"No, some guy stole the regulator before I could give it to Tivan." Peter said this and sighed as he finished. He looked down next to his chair and noticed his jet pack was repaired. "I see you were able to repair my jet pack."
"Yes, luckily I had the resources to do so."
"Thank you, Rora." Peter patted the console as he put his jet pack onto his back. "Hey! Maybe you could help me find this thief."
"Perhaps, but I would need sufficient information."
Peter dropped his head and looked down at his boots. He thought for a second and then he remembered the man's appearance.
"He had a human skull mask. In fact, he had an entire skeleton outfit on. Most of it was covered by a long black cloak though." Rora's console begins to light up as the ship searches every database for such a man. Moments pass and suddenly a mug shot appears on the console in front of Peter. The thief's face was mainly burned in these photos.
"Explains the mask."
"The man's name is Alisher Sham, also known by many as Skeleton Ki. His file shows that he's a wanted criminal. He's been convicted of murder, larceny, and grand theft auto. Under notes it states that he has the necessary supplies with him at all times to open any locked door in the entire galaxy."
"What did he want with a polarity regulator?"
"Perhaps he was just trying to uphold his reputation as the greatest thief in all the cosmos. You have been giving him a run for his money, as it were, lately."
"True. Is there any thing on his mode of transportation."
"Yes, in fact, his ship was the one you shot down while entering the planet's atmosphere. I suppose their was another motive to his stealing the polarity regulator."
"Any known safe houses on Xandar?"
"There is one, just outside the main city that he reportedly stays at every time he stays on the planet. Shall I set it to my destination?"
"Yes, please."

Both Peter and Alisher landed close to the regulator and both quickly reached out for the device. Peter was just a millisecond quicker and was able to snatch the polarity regulator before Alisher could.
"Rora! Ready the engines for take off!"
Peter jumped to his feet and fired a blast from his gun towards Skeleton Ki. The blast hit the floor panels right in front of Alisher. As Sham got to his feet he fired at Star-Lord. Unfortunately he missed and Peter was able to jump out of the still-burning hole in the wall. Skeleton Ki quickly followed after him. Alisher caught up to Star-Lord and tackled him to the ground. Peter grunted as he hit the ground.
"Give the regulator back!" Alisher yelled at Star-Lord as the former punches the latter in the side of the face. Luckily the blow was mainly absorbed by Peter's helmet. "Tivan will not be happy if I do not give him the regulator myself."
"I'm not gonna let you just take credit for my work!" As Peter said this, he kicked Skeleton Ki in the chest, forcing Alisher off him. Peter rolled backwards and onto his feet. He grabs his gun and shoots towards Sham. The latter rolled away from the blast just in time and returned the fire.
"Just give up! The only way you'll leave here is in a body bag!" Tivan threatened Peter as he shot more blasts towards him. Peter was able to dodge the bolts as he returned the fire.
"Rora, come pick me up!" Peter yelled into his comm as he rolled behind a small bush. Skeleton Ki ran towards the bush in an attempt to hinder Star-Lord from getting away. Unfortunately for him Peter was waiting for him and kicked the pursuer away. Peter was then able to jump safely into his ship as Alisher laid on the ground grabbing his chest.
"That was close. Rora, set course to Tivan's ship. I need to have a word with him."
Wanted to wait a little bit before posting it, but here's my Star Lord minifigure from vol 2! Decided to do a portrait style because I liked the way it looked, and also I was satisfied with the pants. Might do another photo of him but here it is. Absolutely loved the movie and while I won't go in depth about my thoughts I thoroughly enjoyed it. Hope you enjoy!
I returned to work on Rocket yesterday because I hadn't school yesterday. I haven't done a lot on him since the last time you might have saw him ( www.youtube.com/watch?v=bAB0-HM_z-A&list=UUhPwBoXopul... ) but that's because that little black detail took me all morning to do! Currently I'm working on his sides. After that I will had some more detail to the front and then I will do the back ( that will be a looot of work! ). I'm waiting also for a pair of Dark Brown hands that I ordered on Bricklink and for the gun I'll use something very simple, I won't be ordering a Brickforge one. I hope to finish him soon, but for now I hope you have liked him! PLEASE GIVE TIPS AND FEEDBACK so I can improve my skills and that will allow me to do a better job!
