A new trailer for the Guardians Of The Galaxy sequel "Guardians Of The Galaxy - Vol. 2" has just been released! I CAN'T WAIT for this movie, the first one was so unexpectedly good, and one of the best Marvel films! I honestly just have one thing to say about this trailer...Baby. Groot. That is all. Haha, no but seriously, this is an awesome trailer!
"Hello, I am the Master of the Sun. You must be Harrelson."
Peter's heart raced as he heard the man's question. He stood still thinking of what to say.
"Uh..."
"You are, Harrelson, aren't you?"
"Funny story..."
The Master of the Sun sighed as he realized Harrelson was not before him. He turned away from Peter and began thinking to himself.
Moments passed and he finally turned back to Peter. Beneath his long grey beard, a smile appeared. He walked closer to Peter and his smile grew bigger.
"This is perfect."
"What?"
"The Star-Lord is not something that should be given, it should be something that is taken. You did just that. You took the role. You are Star-Lord."
"Really? Just like that."
The man's smile dropped. He put his arms together across his chest. The man turned once again and began speaking.
"Yes. Though you will need to prove your skills."
The man turned once again to Peter and snapped his fingers. A suit of armour appeared over Peter's body. The visor of the mask had multiple readings, some Peter could understand and others he could not.
"Tap the button on your right ear to retract the helmet."
Quickly, Peter listened to the man before him and pressed the button. The helmet retracted behind his head and into a small compartment on his back. Peter was astonished by what had just happened he didn't realize the Master of the Sun pull a gun from his robe.
"This is for you as well." The Master said as he handed the gun to Peter. "The gun is one of the best in the galaxy. For that size at least."
"Thank you!"
"No need to thank me. Now that you have your equipment follow me."
The Master turned again and began walking down a pathway. Peter followed closely behind. Amazed by the view around him, Peter began asking questions.
"Master of the Sun? This is the Sun?"
"Yes, well, not your Earth's, but yes, a Sun."
"Where are we going?
"To a training room."
"Training room?"
"Yes, you will enter this room to test your strengths, find your weaknesses, and fight to survive."
"Oh..."
Groot enjoys one last moment outdoors before New York City goes into lock down mode as ordered by Governor Andrew Cuomo. I'm really hoping that this helps to reduce the spread of the Corona Virus. Stay safe, everyone!
While the 2014 Guardians of the Galaxy LEGO sets were fantastic, the weakest one by far would be the 76019 Starblaster Showdown, partially due to its inaccurate rendition of the Nova Starblaster itself.
To give the ship the angular build that it deserves, I completely removed the original curvature-based cockpit and replaced it with one made out of SNOT pieces and the new X-Wing canopy in trans-grey, with enough space for a certain John C. Reilly character to fit inside.
Currently, I'm keeping the original wings and thrusters, but I may return to improve upon those aspects later, so any suggestions/comments would be appreciated.

Day 5. My favourite print hanging on our Dining Room wall is "Swans Reflecting Elephants" by Salvador Dali. As a nod to this, my 365 photo for today is "Toaster Reflecting Groot and Rocket Racoon".
Back to normality tomorrow after 2 weeks off work. Week day shots will now mostly comprise of what I can find near the office in town at lunchtime using my compact zoom camera.
...it seems that if I step away from my Lego folks, they tend to do things on their own.
What are they doing? Having cosmic tea and raiding a cache of blue power crystals?

I am Groot. I am Groot. I am Groot!
I got so many requests to sell the little adorable Baby Groot I posted back in May. Therefor I decided to donate him to Creations for Charity this year so he would bring a smile to so many more people and also contribute to a very good cause: Creations for Charity raises money to buy LEGO sets for underprivileged children during the holidays!
If you’d like to welcome your very own Baby Groot to your home you should head over to the Creations for Charity Bricklink store.
I made a total of 10 copies and they are selling fast!
EDIT:All gone! :O Thank you!
He is fully posable, occasionally dances and is all-around adorable! I have mine displayed behind a bucket of skittles and he seems very happy with it ;)
Edition of 10, all ship with a signed plaque and will be with you in time for the holidays!
I’d be very honored and grateful if you decide to get your very own Baby Groot for the holidays! :)
If you built your own one already, generally don’t like cute dancing trees or have other reasons you can still contribute to Creations for Charity, either by donating a creation or by making a monetary donation.
Store is already open and donations will be accepted till November!
Make this holiday extra special for someone!
After Leela (Louise Jameson) left Doctor Who in 1978, Tom Baker expressed the desire for his new companion to be a talking cabbage, which would sit on his shoulder. Or so the story goes.
Knowing Tom's reputation at the time, the BBC bar may have been involved... :)
A young man stood outside a NASA facility. He grips his backpack straps and takes in a beep breath. Eagerly, the young man makes his way inside. As he gets to the door, Security stops him and asks for his identification.
"Here you go."
"Peter quill, welcome to NASA."
"Thanks."
Peter takes his ID from the security officer and he walks into the building. The sight of the lobby makes his heart race. He just stands there, staring in awe of the men and women passing him. "I'm really here!" He thinks to himself.
"Peter!" His friend, Sam, yells from across the room. Peter, still awestruck, did not answer the call. Sam walked over to his friend and shook his hand. "We're here!"
"I'm still trying to wonder how."
"Come on, Peter. You were the best student. Well behind me of course." The two laugh at this statement.
"D'you know where we have to go to sign in?"
"Yeah, I'll show you where you need to go.

{}One Week Later{}
I can't believe it! I'm here. I'm finally going to be able to explore space!
Peter thoughts raced still, until a loud commotion broke down a hallway. Anxiously, Peter ran down the hall to see what was going on. He was met by the sight of a pale-skinned man in a red robe. The man hovered almost a meter over the ground.
"Hello, occupants of this space station. I am a speaker of the Master of the Sun. I'm here to find the most well-suited, capable men on this station to be a Star-Lord."
"What's a Star-Lord?" Someone asked from the other side of the room.
"To put it in layman's terms, a space-policeman. One that will patrol the Milky-Way in pursuit of criminal."
"What do we need to do to become this Star-Lord?"
"Nothing. We have already taken the liberty of scanning this ship to determine the most suitable candidate."
"Who is it then?" A man asked.
"It'll take time to choose. A week's time, maximum."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
{}One Week Later{}
"I've got to be the Star-Lord! It's the perfect opportunity for me. I'm perfect for the role as well.
Halfway through the day, The Speaker appeared again. Every man that could showed up in the loading bay. Everyone eagerly awaited for the results to be given. Once everyone arrived the Speaker had everyone silence themselves so that he would have no distractions.
"The most outstanding candidate is... Herrelson!"
Peter's mood completely dropped. Harrelson was the farthest thing from a friend to Peter. "How could this be?" Peter thought to himself.
Harrelson walked out of the crowd and towards the Speaker. The Speaker raised his hand and burnt a circle on the ground in between the two of them
"Stand in this circle and prepare for telelportation."
Harrelson stood in the circle. He then turned to his peers and saluted them. Outraged by this, Peter shoved his way through the crowd and ran to Harrelson. He shoved him from the circle just as the teleporter sprung to life and zapped Peter away from the space station. A blinding white light flooded Peter's eyes. As the light went away he found himself in a completely different place. Peter's heart leaped as he heard a voice from behind.
"Hello, I am the Master of the Sun..."
{} Three months after Part 3 {}
The beating sun of Ankara makes it's slow decent on the horizon. A cliff side becomes engulfed in flames as a large laser blast hits the rock face. Suddenly, Star-Lord emerges from the flames. Laser bolts zoom past him as he begins to fly away from the cliff. He presses a button on his helmet and his ship flies into view. Unexpectedly, a laser bolt hits Peter's jet-pack and causes him to spiral uncontrollably to the ground.
"Rora! Where are you?" Peter yells, hoping it would cause his ship to fly towards him. To his liking, Rora flies right underneath him and Peter lands head-first into the cockpit. "Gah! That hurt!"
Peter flips himself to the correct position in his seat and presses a button for the ship to fly away from the aliens on the ground. He waits until he is safely away to take his jet-pack off and inspect the damage.
"Geez, the power core is busted."
"May I suggest making your jet-pack less of a target? Perhaps attaching propulsors to your boots?"
Peter collapses his helmet and takes off his gloves. He presses a couple buttons on the console before answering.
"That's not a bad idea. I'll have to look into that."
"Oh! Did you get what you came for?"
Peter grabs a piece of technology from a pouch on his belt and places it on his ship's console.
"Yeah. Those Sligs definitely didn't want me to get it though."
"Well I'm sure Mister Tivan will be happy with your work."
Suddenly, Rora's console begins flashing red and an alert pops up onto the window.
"What is it, Rora?"
"Incoming projectiles. An unknown spacecraft is approaching fast."
"Evasive maneuvers!"
"Bringing shields up to fifteen percent."
Peter grabs control of the ship and makes an abrupt turn up. the missiles correct their path and follow closely behind the ship. Peter spins the ship to the side and the missiles again adjust their flight.
"Hold on to your lunch!"
"I do not follow?"
Peter pushes the controls all the way away from him, this action causes the ship to take a nose dive straight towards the planet's surface. The missiles follow closely behind. The ship speeds to the ground and suddenly a red light begins flashing in the cockpit.
"You're getting to close to the ground!"
"I know what I'm doing!"
As the ship got mere meters from the rocky surface of the planet, Peter pulls the controls back towards himself and the ship levels itself out and safely flies level with the ground. The missiles, however zoom straight into the ground. The debris from the explosion barely misses Peter's ship as he lets go of the controls and presses a button, giving back control of the ship to the AI.
"Excellent flying, Star-Lord."
"You know it!"
Although Peter had successfully outmaneuvered two missiles, he forgot all about the ship that sent them at him...
He's currently living in a bottle cap but I'll get him a proper plant pot soon enough!
You can plan on me
Please have snow and mistletoe
And presents on the tree
Christmas Eve will find me
Where the lovelight gleams
I'll be home for Christmas
If only in my dreams
"Darling? You were right, it's a raccoon making that noise. But this one is armed to the teeth and wants all our money!"
