Very rare Ferrari 599 GTO.
On 8 April 2010, Ferrari announced official details of the 599 GTO. The car is a road-going version of the 599XX and Ferrari say the 599 GTO is their fastest road car ever, able to lap the Fiorano test circuit in 1 minute 24 seconds, one second faster than the Ferrari Enzo. Its engine produces 670 PS (493 kW; 661 bhp) at 8250 rpm, with 620 N·m (460 lb·ft) of torque at 6500 rpm. Ferrari claims the 599 GTO can reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in under 3.35 seconds and has a top speed of over 335 km/h (208 mph).[9] At 1,590 kilograms (3,500 lb), the 599 GTO weighs 100 kg (220 lb) less than the standard GTB.[10] Production will be limited to 599 cars.
Ferrari has given only two other models the GTO designation: the 1962 250 GTO and the 1984 288 GTO.[11] Unlike the previous GTO's however, the 599 GTO was not designed for homologation in any racing series.
Looks like a rally racer version of a GTO or something.

My 2004 GTO on El Mirage, photographed with a long exposure just after sunset, which is why the colors are faded and the focus isn't very sharp.
Ferrari 288 GTO after the 2009 Concorso Italiano
My friend was lucky enough to get to drive this into the show for the owner, who couln't attend. When the show was over, we had the choice to sit in (uphill) traffic for an hour, or hang out for an hour and then have an open road. So we drove down to the end of the course and decided to do an impromptu photoshoot. Wouldn't you?

I suppose it was probably too much of an ask for Hot Wheels to have badged it as a Holden, Opel or even Vauxhall but they predictably chose the all American Pontiac marque for their latest GTO casting. Not QUITE as stock as I was hoping for with its slightly oversized rear wheels but a very fine effort nonetheless with enough detailing to keep most people happy and a vivid but stock looking metallic bronze paint colour. Part of Case D found in Morrisons recently. Mint and boxed.

{Eduardopedia: El nombre de GTO fué copiado por el gerente de la Pontiac, John Delorean, al Ferrari GTO (Gran Turismo Omologato). El mismo Delorean que años después fundarÃa su propia empresa para producir el coche que aparece en la pelÃcula Regreso al Futuro. }
