I had a quick (by quick I mean 40 minutes) little photo shoot with this gorgeous Ferrari 599 GTO over the weekend. I'm really happy with the way this image came out, the fall colors worked exactly as I was hoping they would. My plan is to shoot with this car at least one more time before the end of the year, but in a completely different setting. Hopefully it'll work out!
More soon!

Location: Berlin
Limitation: 599 cars.
The 599 GTO is still one of the best cars ever made - personally speaking. It's such a stunner and elevates the entire 599 line-up. It's definitely what I would want for an appreciationg supercar-asset. This particular 599 has the right plates as well but has left Berlin a long time ago.

Thoroughly reworked version of my Ferrari 250 GTO from a few years ago. I removed the goofy Chevy V8, straight axle front suspension and drag slicks and installed the correct Ferrari V12 and appropriate wheels and tires both of which required reworking the structure of the front end.

For 1968, the standard GTO engine's power rating rose to 350 hp (260 kW) at 5,000 rpm. Hot Rod tested a four-speed GTO equipped with the standard engine and obtained a quarter mile reading of 14.7 seconds at 97 mph (156 km/h) in pure stock form.

Back in the old days before the pandemic – in 2017, 2018 and 2019 - I visited the Italian Emilia Romagna, the cities of Modena & Maranello and thus fulfilled a childhood dream: visiting Ferrari (OK, Pagani, Lamborghini & Maserati, too…).
Seeing some of the rarest, history-charged Ferraris parading through the small streets of Modena, gathering on Piazza Roma and paying tribute to the brand‘s 70th anniversary gave you goosebumps and tears of joy.
With emotions still running hot, I had to do a rendition of probably the most iconic classic in Ferrari’s history: the 250 GTO. Certainly, I first did it in red… but seeing this bold blue-yellow painted beauty at the Museum Enzo Ferrari I had to rebuild it.
The model had its‘ debut at the local LEGO-exhibition „Hildesheimer Steinwelten“ in March 2019, together with other not yet posted models. It is a pity, but there is very limited time for LEGO at the moment.
Anyway, when Lennart Cort showed his beautiful model of a red 250 GTO, I had to shift stuff and took some time for some rather cra**y photos of mine… and it is interesting how history repeats: in May this year we had the Maserati MC12, now the 250 GTO. So let us say it again:
We think it is simply amazing to see the same car interpreted by two different builders: spot the different solutions, find the same design concepts - that's clever!
More on the moving history of the real blue-yellow GTO can be found here.

Very few wagon versions of the GTO appeared in 1964/5 - after which it was discontinued - so they are now very rare. This one does not have a BC Collector Plate.
